So as a new player to this game anyone willing to send me a link or msg about building a good deck? I like white cards but I don't know if I should mix in other colors. All I have is about 600 cards of New Phyreixa... someone help me make a killer deck lol
a foil elspeth cannot be target by spells or abilities? hahahaha ive seen many vids here in youtube where they totally ignore using the blightning on a planeswalker.
@brent7137 He played a terramorphic expanse this turn triggering the landfall, inresponse to the crack trigger he throws the bolt, in respnse to the bolt he should have cracked the mesa, trigger 2 landfalls before the bolt actually hits, causing it to be a 5/5.
@Hoshiningen your mixing up the whole trigger. You have a 1/1 and play a land. Landfall goes on the stack. In response you lighting bolt it. the creature now has 3 damage coming at it. If you crack your land, you will trigger land fall again. First land fall resloves, creature is a 3/3. Lighting bolt deals 3 damage. Creature dies, last land fall resolves.
@carthwolf he played a land for turn triggering landfall, and going to 3/3. He declares attacks, and the opponent declares no blocks. To try and sneak in extra damage, he cracks the terramorphic expanse. The opponent plays a bolt (which is actually a terminate, by the way) which gives the player priority back, to crack his arid mesa. The mesa landfall triggers first, and would pump to 5/5, then bolt would resolve, dealing 3 damage, then the next landfall, pumping again.
yeah if your whole deck is built JUST to beat a certain deck. for example, celestial purge, ruinblaster, etc etc. those are used JUST to target jund lol. i.e. the worlds naya deck vs jund. the naya deck was built just for the jund.
Spred'em is almost an auto loss for jund. Naya lightsaber obviously beats it. Goblin ruinblaster hurts jund real bad when it is on the play and follow it up with ajani vengeant keeping the land tapped is rough. USA Control can beat it as well with all the counter magic like Flashfreeze for any spell and double negative for cascade spells.
@KlotzProductions I've seen your videos before and I have to say I don't think you have played enough games against Jund, I am not a Jund player but Naya doesn't consistently beat Jund to say obviously. Also Spread em isn't definite, it's a 50/50, USA has counters but that's just about it. The draw states don't allow answers for every card.
Grixis has swerve which USA could also runs which when used on a blightning can be game ending in itself. A resolved sphinx of jwar isle is really good against jund as well.
For some time, I used to have 3 Gatekeeper of Malakir in my SB or my Jund deck just to get rid of those Sphinxes but rarely I could get 3 black mana.. I'm still wondering what is the cheapers and the best way to get rid of them... Should I put Deadly Recluse?
Jund is so unfair......I hate how almost everything in the deck is a two for....making it very hard to beat, considering alll the card advantage they gain
This seems like a very bad example of what Boros is capable of. Jund seem to be normal though.. with 4+ mana and nothing really to play? Kinda odd for Boros. I would def like to see some more videos!
You guys should make little name tags for each side with life and names, so we know who is who. Its very confusing with just hands to remember whos stan or whatever.
damn it's surprising how great the jund deck can draw or in this case cascade in a tight spot. What was r&d thinking when they created that affect, its almost as broken as affinity.
This is high quality work -- you simply need to be tighter on your edits. There are many instances in this vid where you hold for 5-8 seconds on shots that should simply not be here. This should be a 3:15 vid, max.
The bushwhacker deck looks odd. Terramorphic expance, maindeck elspeth...
Also, blightning should have redirected to elspeth so only the BBE would be needed to kill it. Its a difference of 1 life, but that is still important.
Boros decks: Favorable match-ups.... other Boros decks.

in response to the lightning bold on the geopede, why didn't he crack the arid mesa to keep it alive and swing in for more?
Hoshiningen 1 year ago
@Hoshiningen geopede is 1/1 so if you crack the arid it becomes a 3/3 and he still dies of the bolt.

@Hoshiningen There was no bolt played. It was a terminate.
carthwolf 1 year ago
@carthwolf Yup, I realized that when I went back through to check my triggers. Not sure why I thought it was bolt.
Hoshiningen 1 year ago
@Hoshiningen
clearly only one of the triggers would be in effect for the bolt.

Jund is still a dominate figure at the tournaments... however people have found solid ways to deal with it.

My point was that Jund doesn't just beat everything like it used to. I see it lose as much as it wins at my shop.

more please. I'm curious to see how Jund matches up against some of these zendikar decks.

Play Jund against R/W/U control with Swerves and DOJ and Double negative. :P. You should be able to find a deck list somewhere. it's getting popular.

Why did Stan tap his plains at 0.40? An error in attempting to play fast? Oh well, guess it doesn't really matter as there is no mana burn.

correct we noticed it after the video but during testing i guess we didnt catch it.
