Because ive used the beta for the last 6 months and can safely say its a great OS to play games on. It does not hog all your system resources like vista. The first thing i done after i installed Win7 was test how much FPS i was getting over XP. DX9 games FPS was pretty much the same as XP. And DX10 games ran even better then DX9. Accept for crysis but DX10 crysis looks alot better then in DX9. Gaming aside Win7 is at least 5x faster the shitsta! in everythink.

u must check out the new nvidea GTX280 ... this card can run crysis on highest graphics at 60 FPS at 1920X1200 pixels .

Actually I no longer run the 8800 Ultras.  I now have a single GTX280 and run at 1920x1200 resolution now since I got a bigger monitor. I'm stepping up to a GTX 295 soon. I'll be posting up new benchmarks when I have time.

Video cards get outdated so fast,my God the 8800 Ultra used to be the king even in 2007 but the 9800 GX2 came along and that card gets pwned as well now by the 4870 x2, not to mention in a few days(not even a month) the GTX 295 x2 will come out to pwn everyone. Hell yeah buy the GTX 295 x2 so u can kill yourself when the 40 nm video cards come out in the summer of 2009. This gaming addiction is expensive for sure.

It would run really well. I recommend an e8500 it that not what you had in mind. Plus they overclock really well. I've been an "ultra" fanatic. I previously owned a 6800 ultra and that card performed really well in it's days. And i'm very satisfied with my 8800ultras.

well 64 bit is supposed to be just a little better. in the future most oses will be 64 bit. and with 32 bit you can only have 4 gig totall memory on your computer that includes graphics and everything else. there is less software though for 64 i think but 64 is better for the gamer i believe. thats my opinion;
