@SimX9000 some people complain about me fast forwarding, and some people like you appreciate it. I simply can't please everyone. YouTube has an "Insight" feature that tells you which part of the video people are actually watching, and which parts they are skipping through. Now I'm NOT PERFECT, but I have a pretty good sense of idea that people are going to skip through the video if you make them wait 7 minutes for a rom to boot up.

@chuco1038 sorry, I don't. there are roms where they "remove" sense, but that's it. CM is the closest at AOSP and WiMax working. I feel ya, I have 4G at home and at work. When comcast is out, I tether my 1 bar of 4G and I can play xbox live and do everything I need to do. I can't go back to 3G!

Hey, Does cyanogenmod 7.1 work with HTC EVO 3D GSM? Because i got GSM in finland and so i always wanted this CyanogenMod 7.1 but i have to find out first if this works with GSM... i have seen on the website which says cyanogenmod 7.1 works CDMA and GSM but there it says In the moment it works on CDMA only... but what happen if i install it to my GSM Evo 3D? :D does it works? or if dont work, do i have chance to restore backup? Acturally i never Changed any ROMS yet, so i'm doin it later

Ok so I have hboot 1.5 and I was wondering if anyone knew how to uninstall 1.5 so I can have 1.4 and root normally. (I'm rooted but its a pain to do it with 1.5 and i'm limited)

@JDSkim17 you can NOT uninstall 1.5. You need to download Flash Image GUI from the market, and then put the rom on your sdcard. it will install the kernel while your phone is on like normal, and then reboot into recovery and do the rest. i'll buy a 1.5 evo3d some day, because I'm not updating mine

@Robertx24x yes, i have 1.4 hboot because (LUCKILY) I know better than to apply official updates. I hate htc so much that i refuse to apply them, i even make it towards I don't get notified of new updates. yes, you do wipe. but once you root it, you will be able to back up EVERYTHING with Titanium Backup and restore them at will. a way around it, is to TEMP ROOT, back everything up, then do s-off. if u have 1.5 hboot (if you took the update) then you can't s-off, but you can "unlock"

@CravenCODgoD normally, yes. but since this is alpha, not through CM7. THERE IS a kernel called "Tiamat 1.1.0" that lets you overclock though, i'm using it right now.

@NvhsIvan ok, you MIGHT have Fast Boot on! PULL THE BATTERY, give it about 5 seconds and then put it back in. (WITHOUT ANYTHING hooked up to USB) and then press VOLUME DOWN and POWER. When you see a WHITE SCREEN, LET GO! Then press volume down (for recovery) and press power. I hope that helps!

@LowClassBum dude, you have ALMOST nothing to worry about! Because the root method is pretty much dummy proof! then you just need to put the cm7 zip on your sdcard, WIPE your phone, and then install the rom.

That's why I have avoided any mods to my UI on HTC phones. Sense 3.0 is so much nicer looking then cm7. CM7 is a good choice for a Motorola user... assuming you get the bootloader unlocked.

@Keyano60 if you have a program that lets you input the md5, it makes sure that what you downloaded, is exactly, byte for byte, what it was supposed to be originally. so that you don't get a corrupt zip and flash it. I just use Firefox and an addon called DownThemAll. If you put the md5 in, it makes sure what you downloaded is what you were supposed to get. it's awesome!

@jaypay99x i won't dare upgrade my evo to 1.5. I REFUSE and do NOT recommend ANYONE installing an OTA unless it has bee proven by the community to NOT do anything harmful. And with them locking the EVO Shift, 4G, and 3D down with EVERY update,,,,,, DO NOT INSTALL UPDATES FROM HTC or SPRINT. Go go the forums where other pour souls have accepted the update and now can't root their phone. NOW ON THE OTHER HAND, if I come across an EVO 3D with 1.50, I will make a video and do some digging! peace!

@jaypay99x i would do the fast boot thing, and replace the file with the newest recovery img found on the clockwork website. (just google clockwork mod) and he will have a long list of devices and you will have to find yours) then run the same commands except replace 4.0.1.4 with 5.0.2.0 and bam... you have the latest recovery. Sorry that you accepted the 2.3.4 update, or received your evo3d with the update already on it. i'll bet you learned your lesson about Android updates! lol

@truckerniner if you have or buy rom manager pro, you won't have to worry about downloading updates and transferring them to your phone! you will get a notification that your rom has an update, and you can download it from your phone. as soon as its down, you click the notification, it reboots to recovery, installs the update, and boots right back to system without missing a beat! i am going to do a in deph video about it eventually!

ya i got back to my tweaked synergy (try it) and now my phone will only boot that it wont boot anything else ive tried viper rom, freEvo rom, mik g rom and none boot up except tweaked synergy. weird

I have to leave for work a few minutes and I am very tired! i made the whole video in almost 3 hours. on top of the hour it took to export it! I really thought someone like zedomax would beat me since I work and he doesn't, and he doesn't spend hours editing a video, and I do. But I did it and I am so excited! if you want to get anywhere on YouTube, search for videos! if you don't find a video, MAKE IT! then when people search for it, only yours show up! it's how I got here today!
