This guy is good and i respect the fact that he is trying to be his own person but wrightly or wrongly he will always be compared to his Father and he hasn't got the same soul.
ahhhh WHEN? is it still the same or a diff tour? im so mad, i think i missed my chance : / he was just in my town with eddie vedder a few months ago. he's so amazing i think
You still have to have talent and work hard. It's insulting to say he is good because his Dad is, or it's because of his genes only. I said "not just genetic" not "I have analysed Liam's DNA, and found the music gene."
ok .. i wont lie .. .i only bother becasue i love his dad... but the solo stuff.. i really love.. i wont ask about his dad or compare him.. that must be torture.. but this is flat out good good good music... to have this talent... just shows music can be inherited.. but absorbed and evolved...
i hear you. i spoke to liam yesterday at the show.. very acessible dude-- he does not flout his roots and does not need to. he has the chops. couldn;t help but notice the occasional major 7th slipping into the chord proressions- a crowded house/ split enz trademark. possibly genetic.. all good
i love the live version so much better than the studio....you dont quite get the full effect of the percussion in the studio version...another godly talented finn
great great performance. I'm just wondering how he was able to loop all those layers of guitar? I understand there are things to do that, but I barely see him push anything with his foot. Why didn't the cameraman focus at least once when he does the loop, or is that someone playing with him or some type of track pre recorded?
Great to have on line. I saw him live in Brissy so it's great to have this to prompt my memories. This was a mild one...He really rocks on those drums in more of his songs.
Thanks for posting this, i especially love watching liam on the drums, he's so good!
I was really looking forward to seeing him perform when i went to see CH in saratoga, but they cut him out of the program because the curfew was early. I say they should have just started the show earlier!!!!
I saw Liam when he opened for CH and Pete Yorn in Philly on 8/10. He is awesome! They were selling a CD at the merchandise stand of Liam playing live at Spaceland from April 2007--it is fantastic! It kept me company after the show while I waited for AAA to come and change my flat tire! :)
That's good news!(the cd, not your flat!) Found a few websites that would sell it here, but of course at the import rate of $26.99, so I need to wait until Jan. Spaceland will be great for the interim, especially since I know I'll want to pick up a1 least one live concert recording of CH, too. That, plus my ticket - I should probably pick up a paper route
to cover it all ;-) Read great things about the Philly show! I'll be at the last one in ATL.
I was there. I was also in Boston to see the show. Pete kicked ass but Liam won my heart at both shows. I had second row seats at Mann. Wish I had known you had a flat, we would have kept you company!
There's only one person clapping b/c it's an exclusive show for the media.

Yes...I feel some chords surrounding the "Fall at your feet" of Neil Finn...
You know, I really don't care, this live work was awesome, and I really felt it in my heart...
Look the face of this guy at the 4:40, this gesture came from the his soul.

Ugh I see it now with other videos. It's just a poor camera man who is taping this. He wasn't aware of what Liam could do! Brilliant musician!

Nothing like a bit of angst-y playing to get me going ;)
