It wasn't fun for my friend and I, we were locked outside with a couple of thousand really pissed off people, all of whom had paid and had the nerve to go somewhere else for lunch. (apparently some twit there can't count)
@BoredomCorner omg that sounds horrible! :( . why did that happen?! thats not fair :| wow. yeaa there were a lot of ppl this year. i waited literally 2 hrs in line for admission
@lexxie137 We were holed up for a couple of hours trying to get back in. Apparently some yutz thought the thing was over crowded (which I really doubt), and locked the re-entry doors, not taking into consideration that doing that, without explanation, for that long, was a recipe for a riot.
@BoredomCorner o geez! was this today or yesterday?! yeaa it was really crowded but, the more the merrier. i cant believe they did that! :O especially since admission isnt cheap either. and true. did people start a little riot?! aww thats sad that u didn enjoy ur experiene:( 1st year going to fan expo?
@lexxie137 This was today. And I just read that FanExpo STILL SOLD NEW TICKETS while this bullshit was going on (pardon my French). The crowd was REALLY MAD, screaming to see the manager, demanding refunds, etc. If the con didn't finally wise up and let people in it really could have turned violent.
This was my fourth time, my friend's fifth, and the last one for both of us because of this.
@BoredomCorner ok good. they let people in. im shocked to hear this! wait. no. i was talking to someone i met there and he told me that this year is the busiest year, and coincidently ticket master got involved, and they did some scam or something and made things worse:S i dont know. this is a rumor he heard. but thats a shame that uve been so dedicated and this happened:(
@lexxie137 They had a similar problem last year, and frankly they've had crowding concerns (valid or not) since 2005.
This is an ANNUAL event, that they know damn well by now attracts A LOT of people -- you only need to take a first-year business course to know that "you" should plan accordingly, n'est pas?
@BoredomCorner FOR REAL?!?!?! ok. ive been to a lot of cons, but this was only my 2nd tme at fan expo. lol yaa overcrowding thing. they should fix it:P and NOT exclude people haha. ikr?:P . aww i wanna go next year, but i dont wanna get locked out XP
@Metroid1221 WTF?! No one told us that (aside from supposedly it being good for the ones who had deluxe passes/wristbands or something -- for everyone who simply had a stamp it sucked to be us).
Saturday (Aug 28 10) was my first time at Fan Expo and it was awesome. I took at least 200 pictures of all the costumes, they were all really good.

That happened to me as well, but then one of the security guards told us to go directly to the entrance and show our passes (we got in right away)
