i agree w/ u NinoyAquinoTV, his power poisoned Marcos' mind, though my grandparents used to be close to the Marcoses, they say he's not that bad personally, I tried to look at both sides and i'd say Marcos became addicted to power, he's at the wrong time on the wrong position and his ambitious wife didn't help neither. Those people that surrounded him like a leach were the ones who planned the assassination. Anyways thanks to him, we are now aware of what our leaders may become.

Marcos didn't have to lead the plot himself. He's got plenty of his top brass at the corridors of power; waiting for him to die from illness. It's a fact that there's a power struggle between Imelda Marcos, Fabian Ver, Juan Ponce Enrile and Fidel V. Ramos.

I'd say, there will be no Ninoy and Cory if Apo didn't become greedy for power & prestige. Had martial law not been declared in 1972 and let the natural course of events take place (1973 elections), his legacy could've remained intact.

After watching all the videos on the AQUINOS, I have acquired a great admiration to this family. All political issues aside, they seem to have lived a very challenging life. What was their collective feeling when Ninoy decided to go back home knowing that he could be murdered (w/c he was). It took courage to do such an act. It took more strength not to stop a man from doing such. I admire the late Pres. Cory Aquino for that.

Ferdinand's initial reaction was to hit Imelda with an ashtray and he blurted "Bakit mo pinapatay yan?" translation "why'd you had him killed?" Apparently Ferdinand and Ninoy were frat brothers in U.P. and Ferdinand had plans to give in and let Ninoy succeed him, Imelda wanted HER self to succeed her husband as President
