There's that French horror movie 'Inside' about a mother to be that is really memorable. It's different than Rosemary's Baby but is unforgettable. And what was the name of that Dudley Moore movie in which he has two wives and gets both of them pregnant and they both wind up in the same delivery room where the truth comes out and the father of one of his wives happens to be a pro wrestler who pounds Dudley after the birth of both babies? (I'm not making this up people)

To all y'all, 9 months is just an estimation. Human gestation time is 40 weeks. Which is like 9 1/2 months. I think people just say 9 months because that is easier to quantify than 40 weeks.

Actually, it takes ten months for a baby to be born. Nine is a common misconception. From the conception to the birth is ten, but the woman doesn't really know about it until she misses a period a month later.

What I mean is that it takes nine months from the woman's missed period to birth. But I thought that left out a month before her missed period and after the conception. 9+1=10 months. One month where she doesn't really know she's pregnant. Then the missed period. Then birth nine months later.

But I guess you'd know better than I, considering you're a woman. I'm just trying to explain what my middle school science teacher told me.

You are right. It is 40 weeks which would equal 10 months. I am also a pregnant woman and due dates are calculated 40 weeks from the first day of the last period.

There is some truth to ten months, just not earth. Pragnancy should take take exactly ten moon cycles. that is aprox. 28x10= 280 days.
