I absolutly love this song, and especially the lyrics, because they are real, and it shows that even through dificulties Jesus will be there. But it doesn't sugar coat it like many other religous songs and say that with god, everything will be fine and easy. I love the overall message of this song and the impact it gives to the listener :D You're a genius Dan :)

I'm an atheist, but I haven't got a problem with religion, I've just weighed up all arguments and think it doesn't quite make sense. Anyway, despite that I still love this song.
It makes me feel hopeful even when there's nothing to hope for.

I read the chapter on religion when I was 7 and since then I've dissected most other arguments I've seen. It would be refreshing to try to work out some others, especially as people often just start screaming abuse at me as soon as they find out I'm an atheist.
I discovered you early this morning (just after 1:00 a.m... ha ha) & I adore your music! I wanted to say that after hearing this song, I stayed up until just after 2:30 a.m. because I couldn't get to sleep until I satisfied a longing to write my own love song for Jesus. Usually I'm not a fan of love songs, but when I listen to yours, the only person that I can think of is Jesus. So thank you so much! I see no problem with what Owl City did in developing The Postal Service's style, and I'm betting that neither do you - please don't be hypocritical (even though this song is NOT electropop!). And if you would care to compare this album (my first) to Owl City's first EP, you'll find that my tuning is more subtle than his was.

I am another one of those people who saw someone talking about 'Summertime's End' on an Owl City song and was skeptical. But, I thought it couldn't hurt to see what your music sounds like. After listening to a few songs, I have come to the firm conclusion that I LOVE IT! Not only is your sound amazing, but the meaning and honesty in your lyrics is fantastic. You truly are a great artist, and your faith and belief shows through in your songs.
Your music always makes me feel so happy and that's unusual for me because I'm one who gets very angry or depressed VERY easily... but your music always helps me feel so much better! I don't know why..

Your music always makes me feel so happy and that's unusual for me because I'm one who gets very angry or depressed VERY easily... but your music always helps me feel so much better! I don't know why..
