Even with the beard he looks so fatally attractive and so handsome.I've seen many men who have shaved but there is so much confusions and disorientation in them.The eyes will speak the truth of the soul...not the external looks.

I met one Yogi who told me the reason was he stored his excess energies in his beard. His beard was actually a very small one, perhaps a 100 hairs, and not very long, just the length of his forefinger, thats about it. But he never cut it. When asked, he told me he stores his excess energies in his beard. And not to look like a Guru.

@manoharshambo you are right from the practical way of keeping the nails, well actually I didn't think on that aspect of keeping nails.. but my logic is Sadhguru said when you make your system very sensitive, everything matters and smallest disturbance to the system makes a difference. now if cutting beard can cause disturbance than cutting nails also cause the disturbance cause nature made you this way

Try not cutting your nails and see what happens. In the natural day to day affairs nails will tear break and fall off.

long nails can only be maintained with effort. There is no effort to long hair and beard.

@pritpalc even if you let your beard grow you've to maintain it otherwise it will be a mess in the same way if you want to keep nails you've to maintain them. its not that people have not kept long nails. whatever my point was not that.. my point was causing disturbance to the system and being the way nature made you.. if you follow this than you've to keep nails too...

@banjbot Keeping nails is impossible. they will break off with use of the hands. Their natural state is short as a result of this. keeping long hair requires no real effort whereas keeping long nails does.

As far as i don´t know if Sadhguru is enlightened or not, because he never talked directly about it. But ok, when he is only a very symphatic and funny and loveable and intelligent mystic, he is also not perfect, because American Indians for example have no beards. Just for showing that no human being is perfect.
