@knockoutgout Hello John, I put a new chain (Sram) in Key West, and I wipe it down and oil it pretty much daily. I like a clean drivetrain. In the video description is the make and model of the camera. It's a Flip UltraHD (which is going out of business and the cameras are selling for $77 at Walmart). I mount it to the Bob trailer using a GorillaPod tripod. thanks for watching, I think your've been following my channel since close to the beginning. THANKS!
I have really come to look forward to each of your updates. They make me smile. The scenery and weather in Iowa looks great! BTW, you do know that corn syrup is used to flavor your tobacco too? ;) Ha! Me, being a connoisseur of whole-leaf tobacco, I know these things...
@baddogonline ya live... ya learn..... I wish I would have known how to edit videos before I departed. I'm sure I will continue to learn and evolve..... thank you so much for following my channel.... you've been one of the people who have been with me for a long time. THANKS!

@ThreeWheelJourney I think thats why lot people start in the West and End in the East and fly,Train,Bus home..lol...I know there is brutal headwinds from Newport beach to Long Beach North..feels like your getting No where at times..You can say, your having one hell of a journey that a lot of people couldn't or wouldn't even think of doing..Look at the Netherlands, the government are putting up 50 million for new bike trail. So Awesome!!..happy travels to ya
@Douger4u777 if you ride "around the US.... you gots to go west at some point...lol. I am a firm believer in the "Build it and they will come" school of thought. Look at the Appalachian Trail.... it's estimated to draw over 20 million people a year for day hikes, overnights, week long trips and thru-hikers. WE NEED A CROSS-COUNTRY BIKE TRAIL IN THE US!!! Americans have no problem spending trillions a year on health care, 75% of the health problems are related to lack of exercise and poor diet
@ThreeWheelJourney I will get a brooks saddle. I planning on getting touring bike. The one I have now is 6 years old. I put probably around 5000 miles on. Its not set up for touring. I really like the Surley long hauler. Talked to a guy at huntington beach this last weekend that had one. He just loved his. They get a Cross country bike trail from the west to the east the would absolutely wonder....Safe Travels to ya!..:)
I really love watching your journey. Do you ever get so tired that you want to give up? Also, have you accepted donations for this journey? If so, what is the taxed percentage?
@Violinfanatic Hello VF, there has been once or twice that I felt like I wanted to be 300 miles further along, but I refuse to quit. I do not accept donations, so I have no idea about taxes. I will tell you that youtube has asked me to monetize my last 4 videos, which means they will put advertisements on them, and I will earn some money from them. I've also applied for partnership, but I might need more subscribers before they accept me. Thanks for following and feel free to ask questions
