  • I remember these ridiculously priced machines in the early 90's. And I had better games on my Amiga. I don't get it.

  • Good grief! The cartridge is humongous. I wish you had flipped it so we can see the bottom end.

  • Expensive quality you mean! for the big pockets,it was an awesome machine but expensive because of the tecnology that they use directly from an arcade board.People then played realy good games even on the nes that you mention despite the fact that the graficks were lower, the console is build up to its titles not to the power! I love neo geo but they must learn from their mistakes, don't forget that even the simplenton nes was oferinf realy good quality in those past times.

  • Great video, I am thinking of getting an AES.

  • To get one in Canada right now it will cost you about 400 plus dollars including delivery.

  • $80 for both!?!? no shit?!?!

  • i remember this console as a kid i would read all the magazines and dream about getting one but it never happened my mother couldn't afford the console.

NEO-GEO was the beast years before its time .

  • I remember Neo-Geo consoles. Those were bad-ass! What killed it was the price, but you got what you payed for, a litteral home-arcade.

  • Why not play a game brah!??

  • NEO-GEO was the real shit!

  • I read that you dont need a chip to play japanese games on american consoles and vice versa, is that true?

  • Thats why neo geo console failed there where the other most cheap machines for home use were sucseed! because of the prices,i dont say neo geo was having better quality but with realy high prices!

  • THAT CARTRIDGE IS FUCKING ENORMOUS

  • this isn't a review it's a retard mumbling while filming a game console. learn how to formulate sentences before you speak, get some editing, and don't forget to put anime girls with big boobs in your videos.

  • N64 was the nintendo neo geo :-)~

  • @xpander33

Yeah. Neo Geo 24 bit an 330 meg carts.

N64 64 bit with 512 meg resident evil 2 cart.

  • @rehzon Neo-Geo is only a 16-Bit system. The main processor is a 16-bit Motorola 68000 and it had a 8-bit Zilog Z80. The two added together yes does add up to 24 but that co-processor handled the sound. The 24-bit advertisement was just a marketing ploy because it looked so much better than the current 16-bit consoles. The main reason the graphics were so great on this system was because of the RAM that was built into each cartridge rather than on the main board inside the system.

  • @DarakuTenshi

The GPU was more powerful then the GPU's on Genesis and SNES.

  • biggest fucking cartrage ever

  • I remember when Neo Geo Gold System was being sold at Shaper Image. It was the Ferrari of game consoles back in the early 90’s. If you could flip the bill for this extremely expensive gaming system and shell out over $200.00 for games...CRAZY! I have friends who still cannot believe how big the game cartridges are. A whopping 7.5 inches X 5.34 inches…wow what the fuck is this?!!! I still have this system and it’s still a blast to play as far as 2d games go. Neo Geo: Bigger Badder Better!!!

  • This System Was A Monster, I Would Go Crazy Back In 1994 If I Got This Thing For Christmas

  • @247xReviews lol i would have sh*t my pants!!

  • show it playing on the TV!!!

  • these things are still around 125 plus shipping

  • you could knock someone the fck out with that game.. literally

  • I had a dream about this console last night.

  • nice this is a treasure

  • @iorel1982

My little league coach said the same thing when he put his hands down my trousers for the first time.

  • There's a few Neo Geo games on the Wii Virtual Console

  • this console is awsome! no loading times.very fast

    .

  • japan here I come!!!!!!!!!!

  • no load time with top notch graphical quality! Too bad I couldn't afford it 20 years ago and I still can't afford it now HAHAHA

  • don't try to imitate classic game room, bitch!

  • The AES is region-free already, without modding it. Cartridges have both Japanese and English versions built in already. All a region mod does it tell the cartridge which version to default to.

Also, the PC Engine was the first to use memory cards!!!

  • When you purchase your first Neo Geo everything else in your collection soon becomes a spare wheel. One of the most addictive and fascinating systems to collect for is at the top of the food chain. When Mark of the Wolves is just overkill.

  • SNK should, I mean MUST develop, at least, a neo geo AES portable (obviously with a smaller media Lol) with all the classic games. It will probably sell a lot, like the Atari flashback, since SNK has a lot of fans around the world.

  • wtf... is that an old panasonic phone? lol

  • I need an aes asap (Letters galore) but Im a cheap person. I actually got my mvs cheaper than a boxed aes.

  • @Pro21xx Yes, the GBA is 32-bit. Sorry, dude...

  • is 500 dollars for this and 5 games a good deal?

  • @TravisTuchdown

    Depends which games!

  • Lol, I remember when I used to think 80 Mega was Megabytes ...in reality it as Megabits..still damn a cool console though.

  • Someone told me that the AES was the best console of its time , no 1990 console (SNES , Genesis) could match it's sprite-drawing capabilities. However , during the boom of the 3D gaming age (Saturn, Playstation , N64) the AES was finally beaten due to the new consoles (PS,SS,N64) using polygons instead of sprites. 2D Polygons are better detailed than sprites.

  • wow, you are a nervous speaker.

  • LOL look at the cartridge

  • @GamerYetPolitical92 It's a fucking arcade board, what the fuck do you expect?? That thing is 20 years old and still considered an excellent game system. Show me any other system that lives up to that standard or shut the fuck up you fucking garbage cunt.

  • @Pro21xx Sorry, but to be quite frank, the Virtual Boy displayed Red & Black Graphics in 32 bit. The Gameboy Advance was 16 bit.

  • @Pro21xx The missing 32 bit game system is the Virtual Boy.

  • you sound like the guy on the "black metal band prank call " video

  • Take off the intercoller on your X360 if you havnt already. it will break your 360 faster

  • ahhh ummm this ummm review ahhh umm i...iiii.. is reallly ummmm full of unconfident ummm reviewing. ahh ummmm ummm. im just messing with you, you should edit your reviews, or do it more than once so that you can cut down on the "ummmm"ing.

  • @scr99n he sounds nervous as hell lol

  • that's not a review. he is just showing off his console. goddammit

  • Good console but expensive!

  • The Neo Geo is region free even without the BIOS chip mod... That mod is primarily used to allow the AES access to MVS style options like language settings and censorship.

  • having the unibios installed is v handy as some of the games on the aes are fuckin impossible to complete

  • you get a neo geo for 80$ in japan? AWESOME!!!

  • Goes to show how much people are being ripped off when they buy a Japanese Neo Geo AES on Ebay. Those sellers must be making over 3x profit on each unit.

  • @DanmakuManiac but you pay 90 to ship it

  • DUDE, I don't mean to geek out here but you had some very useful info that I was never able to find anywhere else. Such as the hardware's censorship or the region mods. I may look into those sorts of systems since I collect video games based on fun value, not as collectors' items.

  • I never had a NeoGeo AES. Believe me I wanted one but like almost everyone I couldn't afford one.

  • Cool street fighter 1 remix for your intro

  • great vid im a huge fan of the neo geo aes system

  • I remember drolling as a kid looking at the Sunday newspaper looking at the toys R us ad knowing dam well i could not afford the Neo Geo AES sniff sniff

I wish SNK would dig in the creates and update some of their old titles to newer systems or at least release some of these classics on xbl and psn OH NO wait,The average gamer would'nt buy it they have bad taste in games commerical brain washed fuckers!!!!

To be safe i plan on buying one in the future!!! Nice vid

  • I wouldn't mind a Mark of the Wolves sequel

  • @regionfree1 yea those sony mother fuckers can go die

  • @regionfree1

there is snk games on xbl and psn.. just noone buys them, and knows about them obviouslyy

  • @waverazor Your correct there are some neo geo games on xbla and psn,but many neo geo fans want something other than what their offering, keep mind this comment was made a year ago when their were even less on those services, these games are not promoted like other big name titles, and the titles are more geared to the arcade crowd and those who favor gameplay over grafics, which is a big reason they don't sell as well as other titles obviouslyy

  • @regionfree1 haha hahahahha you dont have it on xbl but I HAVE IT ON MY WII!

  • @regionfree1 I kmow your comment is 2yrs old now, but hopefully you found out about Emulation since then, and saved yourself a whole lotta money!

  • systems are region free to begin with

bios chip equals gameshark, although with bios chip you can change language(truth? someone correct me?)

Systems are $150-300 on ebay,, i just bought one MINTY fresh in the box complete with matching serial numbers for $210

  • I found one near me with original box/cables/controller for $300. No shipping of course, its so rare to find them in a store!!

  • easily/greatest system ever!i'm currently lookin 4 an aes console on ebay.once i get it that damn 360 my 3rd actually cause they keep dyin on me is gone.only neo from now on.OLD-SCHOOL 2D-4EVER!

  • @TheHorsemanfan no, the greatest sytem ever is the NES since it rescued the video game industry so:

no NES = no video games

  • how old are you? by your voice im guessing you are like 20 oe 21 years old, still you are interested on old games, you probably havent born by the time that all those consoles came out

  • O MY GOD i want one so fucking bad but thay cost so much damn money i guess im not one that should be saying that considering i paid $600 for a ps3 and $400 for a 360 when thay first came out lol :'(

  • great review

  • Nice vid...

I play all the neo-geo games in MAME and kawaks on my PC, teamed up with my mad catz TE arcade stick and image enhancements its better than playing the actual console/arcade

  • nothing beats playing the games on the aes period

  • nice Price!

  • Nice, Very Imformitive......(CANT SPELL)

    But whatever. Great Video
