War would've been a lot longer if it wasn't for us, although we really should have stepped in much earlier. (Politically/Economically it would have been better for us to stay out of it, but come on... we're not THAT selfish). You'd be surprised, most of the movies about WWII are either directly about the camps or about the Germans on the inside who tried to take down Hitler.

There aren't movies about Hiroshima and Nagasaki either, although that would be a great opportunity to show off our power. But no, we want to look powerful and awesome, but still nice. So instead we get movies about Pearl Harbor =P
