@2011TREADSTONE the new ones were great! the 1st was ok the 2nd was good and the 3rd was great! but 4 5 and 6 were masterpeices! but because their masterpeices doesnt make the other ones bad! just not as great!
@ChadTheWrestleManiac No the first 2 are legendary for being absolute shit. Worst flawed boring story ever with awkwardly written wooden dialogue. Those romance scenes in the 2nd film are some of the worst written hilarious crap i have ever seen.
@ChadTheWrestleManiac if the only thing you like is flashy CGI without any story, depth, characterisation or anything remotely related to attempting to tell a coherent story then the first 3 are good for you. Also Lucas completely kills off the ideology behind the force and yoda by having medichlorians and Yoda hopping around like a bunny on LSD.
question: why do people hate lucas for releasing the movie several times, does he cut or add stuff to the new versions?? ive only watch the blu-ray version, can someone explain to a noob like me whats the big NOOOO about that?? p.s: i still dont get Darth Vaders NOOOOOO... whats up with that?? is it like a fail thing?
@mgcrol george lucas change and add stuff to the new re-releasing the NOOOOOOOO added on the bluray was stupid and unesesary on the original star wars 6 darth vader didnt said anything and it work
@2011TREADSTONE Now come on not all 3 prequels are just worthless piles of celluloid. Phantom Menace is very very weak but has one or two extraordinary action sequences that cannot be denied. Attack of the Clones at least has a certain maturity in tone I appreciate about it, just can't stand the treacly dialogue. Revenge of the Sith is very good though
I love that the narrator says, "A rehearsal for one of Star Wars' most exciting scenes," and then Harrison Ford makes the least enthusiastic "bang bang" I've ever heard.
they sang bang so that the people that go back and edit in the lazers can match up the lazers with when the actor/actress makes the gun look like its being fired...
LOL, that dreadful man created you...Was it intended to be the irony that Anakins creation would end up convincing his son to take the little blue droid whoose running off in the middle of the night to Obi Wan, not only saved him from certain death by stormtroopers but facilitated the death star plans getting to the rebelian. Or am I just reading to much into it?
Classic Star Wars documentary. Sounds like the narration is done by William Conrad, the narrator for the Buck Rogers TV theme song, that adds an extra-cool touch. Very enjoyable to watch.
@georgelewis Mainly because people today are mindless, stupid drones who will accept what the media says. I thought Avatar was very pretty, but VERY poorly written.
I have kinda always liked STAR WARS, but it was not until I got well over 30 that I fell in love with the films. maybe strange but lovely. It is like seing them for the first time.
this was a great doco, it was officially released on VHS back in the 80s by CBSFOX for rental, I used to rent it all the time on video when I was a kid and then I bought it as an ex-rental along with SPFX The Making of Empire Strikes Back.
@ttt8699 HAHA yes! i just realized this! my neighbor brang over cannon and weve been watching it, great 70s detective show! what a funny concept, a old fat guy chasing bad guys! ha!
I always thought it was funny when Lucas would say something about not having much behind-the-scenes footage of the original film because back then nobody documented productions like they do nowadays, then you see this, with all the great behind-the-scenes footage, and realize that Lucas is just whacked.
@Baldenlong77 It was an interview I read somewhere years ago. He was asked about an eventual DVD release of the films with documentaries and stuff, and he said it was something that would take time because back then nobody documented film productions like they do nowadays, so there was very little behind-the-scenes footage. Obviously, ol' George was pulling our chain like he typically does.
@MikeAM78 I call BS too. If he had enough footage to make this one, as well as the Empire of Dreams documentary, i'm sure he has loads of footage never seen before//
@james65508 No. I'm not kidding. Lucas made the announcement at Celebration V in Orlando, FL. He said the entire saga would be released onto Blu-ray in October 2011. And they announced today that all six films would be re-released in 2012 theatrically......IN 3D!!!!
@NARATO0 For me, nothing. I just thought it was interesting to note that in the aftermath of the excitement of the saga finally arriving on blu-ray, that they are going to re-issue the saga, starting w/The Phantom Menace, on 3D.
lol 5:00 I love Lucas youthful voice, he sounds just like me, and I am 23 years old. Is it true that he spent 2/3 of his entire life working on the star wars franchise?
