Just to let you know, you are stating that you'd use the bar to dive on the open E string. That is actually INCORRECT. The dive actually is on the G string, then you hit the open E string after the dive WITHOUT diving on the E string. Then it goes back to the riff. Just wanted to clarify

@meyers5150 I have to agree with that too, since I've seen some REALLY Bad tutorials, not bad, CAPITAL B bad, and yeah the camera serves as an outlet for insecurity. Every guitarist and their brother wants to teach someone how to play a chord they themselves don't know how to play haha.

I also think old schoolers learning licks and famous riffs were better off anyway; it forced them to dissect the music and learn by ear and feel, versus mechanical note by note tabs (not saying tabs are bad).

@TranceSFX Though I use TAB from time to time, I really dislike the concept. It robs the music of any feel and emotion and reduces it to mechanical numbers, like a computer. Playing guitar is all about the feel, and numbers have no feel.

TABs also allow people to completely bypass musical theory, which is the KEY to becoming a successful pro guitarist. Ask any TAB-reader to play a solo over an Amajor chord progression and they look at you like you're nuts.

a pinch or pick harmonic is when you hold your pick sideways, and then position your thumb to where your pick hits the string and your thumb just barely taps it. its a pretty difficult technique to learn.

yeah, there is a difference. first of all, it just sounds different ( but you cant tell in this video). For a natural harmnic, you just hover you finger over the string so that it is barely touching. a pinch harmonic i were you actually play the fret , but when you pick the note, you "pinch" the string thus causing this type of harmonic
