I am from Canada and we have Universal Health Care. Is this what people believe we have "blood stained sheets on a wooden board"? I have lived in the United States and I have lived in Canada, and I will say that my in my experience the Canadian system has the same level in the quality of hospitals,care, and doctors as in the US. If you look at what Canadians pay person for our health care system it is half of what Americans for just their Medicare program which only covers people 65 and over.

Ha ha, "blood stained sheets on a wooden board". Things like this make me more disappointed with American politics each and every day. Listen up pleb, socialized medicine means that the government finances it and hires the medical personnel. HR 676 would only finance the care but it WOULDN'T BE INVOLVED IN DELIVERING IT!

HR 676 is NOT socialized medicine, so her arguments are baseless.
It is single payer. And it would be cheaper and better that what we have now. It's main selling point is that it removes the for-profit insurance companies from the mix, releasing an additional $800 billion a year for health care.
This isn't grassroots television, it is fertilizer!

I'd rather save and invest the $80 a month stolen from my paycheck now to pay for other people medicine. That way I could buy my own medicine when I need it.

While It's unfortunate that Kelly had a bad experience, it's foolish of her to go on a crusade against socialized medicine. So you're saying that you're against Medicare too? That's a frightening thought for anyone over the age of 65.
