But they are showing the LEGO-Trademark at the beginning of the video, they call it BIG LEGO towers in the titel and - on top of that - I visited the BIG studio in Kopenhagen a couple months ago and saw all the models built out of Lego bricks. Other than that, the model is on tour now, beeing exponated in some cities.

They are building with Lego. The pieces are what they are sticking down to make the towers. It is not individual sets, but I am confident that those are Legos, judging in part, just from the structure and how it is put together. Many many small pieces together can make a very detailed edifice.
