  • this is so funny these are more like comidy videos now

  • this is much better than marylin mansons version

  • "ROSETTA WEST - SHAKIN' ALL OVER"

  • One problem, Frankenstein was the doctor, not the monster.

  • @coolskull100 You say that as if no one knew that. I just type out "Frankenstein" when describing the monster because it saves time and everyone already associates the name with the monster. The image is too strong in pop culture for everyone to separate the two.

  • LUB IT! I literally jumped with joy! amazing video my friend!

  • thanks Crawlfan - and happy haunting !!

  • thanks - luv it !! I posted it on my facebook for my friends (hope you don't mind, that I changed the music to Marylin Manson's "The Beautiful People" just for my buds)

    .. great job Crawlfan !

  • @chrissydv17 I don't mind, I'm just glad people are watching the video haha. I love Marilyn Manson anyway.

  • Frakestain Kliczka compared to the one you already arranged for him to blow

  • I love Bela Ligosi as Dracula <3

  • Nice job! Thanks for making and sharing. As a lover of Universal horror, I thought this was great!

  • Thumbs up if you are watching this in October.

  • Brilliant!! The true monsters of hollywood! With the music from one of the best animated movies!

  • This is a lot of fun.

  • modern horror is so much better then classic horror, classic horror is boring with hardly any gore and long boring dialogue

  • @quest8899 Classic horror has more character drama and pathos, though. Besides, the lack of gore makes classic horror accessible to all ages rather than just adults. If it weren't for classic horror, it would have been hard to be a monster fan when I was a kid who wasn't allowed to watch R-rated movies.

  • Great video.

  • this is actually kind of frightening wow u did a great job :D

  • you lot of hard work on this video

  • Really nice :)

  • 1:16 is scary enough, don't need any special effects.

  • All my favorite movies put in one! YAY!!! thanks for posting this....

  • Awesome job!

  • jewish symbol at vampire necklace

  • Best Clip i've ever seen

  • if it would be up to me, King Kong and Nosferatu would be in that vid. too.

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • would any of you hate me if i said i muted the video? srry the music annoys me

  • 0:59 that is my wallpaper for my computer

  • europa park music

  • What about the Mummy? And the Creature From the Black Lagoon? They're as much Classic Universal monsters as these guys.

  • 1:25 LOL DRACULA!!! XDD PRICELESS

  • This is halloween-halloween-halloween-halloween-halloween! :}

  • I remember when I was a kid, some channel had Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein and The Mummy all on consecutively on Halloween night. I don't think I slept a wink that night after all that!

  • Great classics liked the song you put with this

    Happy Halloween "D

  • wow!!

  • Cool vid! I love the ol' classic monster movies. In all actuality Burton was influenced a lot by these classic universal horror movies, especially like with the Batman series. When he did Batman Returns it had some similarities to The Bride Of Frankenstein.

  • Awesome vid you used all of my favorite actors

  • Great fun and brilliant editing to the music. Well Done. You can't beat the classic monsters.

  • Love it. The only scary movies I like are classics.

  • What a great tribute! You should be proud!

  • i like it "/

  • The editing in this is absolutely superb!!! Very enjoyable, thankyou.

  • Love this. : )

  • great tribute to greatest horror classics

  • I love this!! Thank U my Friend!!!!

  • You also used werewolf of london at 0:47

  • c trop bien i love you

  • lol. Nice one. "the next surprise" the first time, good lipsync.

  • Such a great compilation. Thanks for posting. Good job!

  • Ubrupt ending, but otherwise pretty awesome!

On the line "tearaway face," I would have showed a clip of the Invisible Man taking the bandages off.

  • you don't fuck with the classics. XD

  • nice vid 5 stars

  • I saw a werewolf who WASN'T Lon Chaney!!! Does anyone know who this is? 0:42-0:47

  • @Vanoc93 Henry Hull as The Werewolf of London, 1935. Nice creepy opening scene in Tibet. There is one super-cool art deco prop in the Dr.'s lab: The big round lamp that creates artificial moonlight, it's wicked. And the plant it blooms, the Mariphasa Lupina Lumina, is a temporary cure for Lycanthropy. He also has a giant Venus Flytrap. Spring Byington is hysterical as the woman who found a werewolf in her bedroom, and cried to her friends "The Devil has green eyes!"

  • the film is werewolf of london staring Henry Hull

  • I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH TenderTrap86!!!

  • This is a great tribute to the classic horror films.

  • great one of the cools music video

  • Naughty! XD

  • 20s-50s golden age of horror,60s-90s silver age of horror and 00s-10 bronze age of horror. Thats my opinon.

  • Yeah, 100 years from now they'll still be showing this classic!!

  • i watched the original dracula yesterday!

  • people just arnt scared by the old monsters anymore

  • Very nice. Works really well.

  • Amazing.

  • Nicely put together vid and good choice of music. many thanks.

  • well done!.. spot on!...great memories!!!

  • this is actually fucking amazing, thankyou for this!

  • Thank god something made that I can truly understand

  • Great clips and good timing with the song. I agree with childofthewilderness, but I still enjoy this very much as is. :)

  • check out house of the wolfman trailer

on youtube its with the old universal monsters

  • i thought this was removed, i missed this video

  • Good homage to great horror villains

may I recommend also using The Invisible Man (Claude Rains) & The Phantom of the Opera (Lon Chaney Sr)

  • Don't forget Chaney's Hunchback, The Mummy, and the old German Expressionist horror films.

  • I <3 it but would you mind if I made a friendly suggestion of putting Marilyn Manson's style of the song in instead. It's a truly great tribute!!

  • you shoud take marylin mansons version of the song. but great vid

    xD

  • CLASSIC

in every sense of the word :)

  • Great video but it needs The Mummy, The Creature, The Invisible Man!

  • Really COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!

  • "NNNAAUUGHTYYYY."

  • lol. Freaky Fred is amazing.

  • rock on frankenstein

  • the wolfman is my favorite. i'm making a homemade version. idk if i'll put it on youtube, but keep on the lookout.

  • The movies that made me run jump in bed and cover up my head so the monster wouldn't see me. Those were the days...

  • This IS Halloween!!!! You are a TRUE Universal Monster Lover!

P.S. You forgot to credit Dr. Wilfred Glendon from "Werewolf of London" (1935) in you're description.

  • well done ! !

  • LOVE THIS!!!!!

  • Wow! Brilliant!

  • great videoclip crawffan, these characters represent our fears of what we call odds, or different. But as in Frankenstein "the human beings" ended up being the real monsters. Long life to the horror movies characters

  • Thanks for putting this together. What would Halloween be without these movies and these actors?

  • Love the classic masters, Bela, Boris, Chaney ect. I have them on DVD. Boris Karloff was great in Body Snatchers.

  • 2.29-2.31 is frankenstein vs the wolfman!

  • I know. I was using all the material I could get.

  • Four months and it's Halloween again....man I love that holiday;)

    Awesome video.

  • I know, I can't wait! Halloween is so fascinating!

  • It certainly is, one of the best times of the year:)

  • I totaly agree. That's also on of my favorite holliday. I always liked it to dress up like a witch. But I really would like to dress up like a vampire, if I have the chance during that period.

  • oh, dwight looks so cute as Fritz somehow. That really one of his meanest characters and befor I saw the movie I thought he would be so cute as he looked, but that wasn't the case. In the scene when he steals the brain and robs the graves with frankenstein he was cute, but after that... I actally never thought fritz would be able to be so mean with the monster of frankenstein. Dwight really did a great job with that character that's for sure:)

  • Yeah it was kind of surprising to say the least. He looked kind of innocent with his messy hair, but the way that he played the character- Fritz could be very forceful and mean at times. But he was also frightened, almost like a child, at others. Dwight gave the role a lot of dimension:)

  • He is very cute when he was frightened by a child and you would think that he would be nice just like herman, but he totally wasn't. You would never think that he would do sutch things. But I guesse it fits good with the fact that he acted like a child. A lot of children are totally againsed the bad people when the watch a movie and they real want that those bad guys are getting a punishment. It's black or with for them.

  • They addor the hero and hate the bad guy. I think fritz also saw frankenstein as something bad in the way a child did. Dwight really did a great job!!!:)

  • I really like your tribute ;) :[

  • Congrats on putting all those scenes together!!! I wish a had a copy...

  • Terrific homage! Long live "Creature Features"!

  • Your video it's a fantastic idea !!!!

    GREAT, PHENOMENAL

    THANK YOU

  • Classic Universal Horror is the best.

  • Super, thanks!

  • The Best Horror Classics:

    The Invisible Man

    Frankenstein

    The Mummy

    Phantom of the Opera

    Nosferatu

    Creature from the Black Lagoon

    Dracula

    Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

    The Wolf Man

  • Thanks 'crawlfan'. This video was good for the ears, good for the eyes and good for the heart....Thanks again!

  • Dude you are my hero!

  • really good job! 5 stars!

  • one of the werewolfs in this video is from Werewolf of London from 1935

  • I realize that. I liked that clip wanted to include it, though I forgot to add it in the video description.

  • it's ok, thats one movie I haven't seen, it's pretty hard to find, also Lon Chaney's Phantom of The Opera would have been good to include

  • Maybe, but it doesn't seem related to Frankenstein and Dracula much

  • How bout invisible man?

  • I don't have that one on DVD

  • my bad. neverless a great video.

  • Especially for the line in "This is Halloween" that goes "I am the clown with the tear-away face".

  • I wish that I saw Lon Chaney Sr,'s Phantom of the Opera in here though. He's a classic too...

  • But he's not related to Dracula or the Wolfman all that much.

  • Wonderful job, some of my favorite movies in here.

  • The pioners.

  • Nice job! You really outdo yourself with these! You must really like scary stuff. No matter, because I do, too.

  • Only a genious can think of makeing this video. Can you pleaase include scenes of other great B&W horror movies like Psycho (1960),Nosferatu (1922),Freaks (1932),What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962),Cat People (1942),Night of the Living Dead (1968),Les Diaboliques (1954),

  • Those movies have no similarity to these at all. Nosferatu might, but I hated that film.

  • what about Cat People? Its like The Wolf Man but with cats and woman right? WTF u hated Nosferatu??? Why??? booooo!!!!!

  • The four movies used in this video have everything to do with each other, as they're always associated.

With Cat People and Nosferatu, however, there is no similarity between them. The reason I didn't like Nosferatu is because it was made without the consent of Stoker's wife, practically mocking her deceased husband who wrote Dracula.

  • well it was indeed unfair for F.W. Murnau to make Nosferatu without the consent of Stoker's wife, but Max Schreck as the Vampire is horrifying, but he was called Count Orlok, Bela Lugosi was Count Dracula, & Lugosi will always be Dracula, & Schreck will always be Orlok

  • still, you gotta admit that Max Schreck gave a horrifying appearance as a Vampire

  • CAT PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!whoahoooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol... crazy movie but hilarious. someone should make one of all bad or historical sci fi/horror films..like: plan 9 from outer space...terrible but brilliant...bug: awesome!..and others

  • I watched this in theatre class on halloween at the end of class....kreey stuff lol

  • Haha, that was awesome! What a cool video :)

  • GREATNESS ALL THE WAY!!!!

  • Nice to see someone still remembers the "Legends" Chaney still scares today. Great post..Thanks!

  • I can't help it, just had to respond one more time. This is the greatest Halloween video ever. As the coolest of all holidays is now only about ten days away, mandatory viewing of this vid at least ten times each day is totally in order. This and all the cool old horror flicks on TCM. But especially this. You betcha.

  • Thanks! I didn't really think it would be that important, but it's good to see someone thinks so =]

  • I love this song/movie! :) & the Bella L.(can't spell his last name right now.) & Boris Karloff clips are neat 2. Good video.

  • Oh wow... I love the idea! And the video itself was brilliant!

  • Cool video featuring the legendary icons of horror movies; Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman. I loved how you put those three characters together in this video with the music. It really has that horrific Halloween feeling to it. Way cool.

  • Let's not forget Mr. Hyde. He might not have been an icon, but is truly one of the best.

  • Really cool, good job! =] And isn't that audio clip from the last few seconds from Courage the Cowardly Dog? XD

  • Exactly. I do that at the end of alot of my vids, or I used to.

  • That's awesome! That guy was always my fav villain from that show =] He was creepy O_o

  • Lugosi

  • Thuis was wonderful! Really nice how the images fitted in with the lyrics.

  • Very creative. Not only is it a good idea, the clips matched perfectly to the video. 5 stars!!!!!!!!!! GREAT!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cool, Very Cool! Mind you, the de facto holiday would have been an equally good time for this to be uploaded, too...

  • Oh, I'll be doing MUCH more than one video for Halloween.

  • Very "Classic"! Loved it!

  • Great video! Perfect!

  • Perfect music and perfect movies.

    Great video!

  • Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
