I'm 18 and I love learning about WW1 and WW2 and anything of the past, but it seems like kids my age would not like to discuss anything to do with WW2. Every time I refer something to WW2, they look at me in puzzlement. I have yet to meet another teen that has any knowledge of WW2. Most popular audiences of these history videos are 35-64 yo, so are today's younger generation much less aware of history or perhaps they have better things to do such as facebook and I'm just dwelling in the past...

I hate it when people say the US had barely any part of the war simply because they didnt have as much casualties as other nations. having lots of casualties doesn't mean you fought harder (heck, didnt we all try to win as best we could?), it just means you got your butt kicked. remember, the US was fighting a war in the pacific that no other nation joined in. and US vs Japanese deaths was 1:10 for avg. battle, so the US naturally outperformed them. they did just as much fighting as USSR.

@DimaDima237 the germans started the war when they invaded poland the only thing the allies did wrong was not stomping out germanys rebelion when it was a weak nation. the French and british attempted diplomacy with germany and hitler basicaly spit in their faces and called their bluff when he invaded poland what wwere france and britain supposed to do just let hitler take all of europe at least they did something to try and stop hitler while the soviets hoped hitler would stay away

@DimaDima237 yes because that treaty was so obviously legitament. only that boot licker neville chamberlin wouldnt see that sighning an agreement with germany while under the supervision of Benito mussolini this agreement (not to defend Chamberlin) clearly stated that germany would not invade poland. when hitler did invade poland that forced the british and french to declare war on germany because germany and hitler knew that would be the Allies reprisal if he invaded poland

European countries had been killing native people for thousands of years and enslaving them. in russia serfdom which is actualy slavery was abolished in 1861 only 2 years before the emancipation proclimation was sighned in the United States.

I did not say that I hate the US.I said that the USSR defeated the Nazis almost single-handedly and said that the US entered the war only when the victory of the USSR was evident.My words were confirmed by letter to Roosevelt In which he called the battle of Stalingrad turning point of the war and the USSR can rely on the U.S. (although help was needed sooner).Another confirmation is the number of Nazi losses on the Soviet front(93% of total losses)

Thousands of 88's were used to shoot planes and over a thousand fighters were used to defend German skies that could have been used out east. not to mention the man power it consumed. Also Britian and saved your ass by kicking the Italins out of Greece so Germany had to save face those 2 months. America and Britian were fighting Gemrnas in Africa 1942 also and made over 100,000

I'm 18 and I love learning about WW1 and WW2 and anything of the past, but it seems like kids my age would not like to discuss anything to do with WW2. Every time I refer something to WW2, they look at me in puzzlement. I have yet to meet another teen that has any knowledge of WW2. Most popular audiences of these history videos are 35-64 yo, so are today's younger generation much less aware of history or perhaps they have better things to do such as facebook and I'm just dwelling in the past...

MY grandpa got in when he was 15, he was fighting japs in the navy while when 15 i was playing cod and and worry about prom and shit. Most people our age don't realize how tough and badasss these dudes were, they just see them as old boring people now, while facebooking and and listening to justin bieber in their skinny jeans.

@ivangrozny27 a panther tank being shot at by US pershing tank . the first shot penetrates and cutts the guys legs off while the gunner retreats. the second shot from the pershing tanks engulfs the pnather with fire killing the rest. if you wanna see the video and the guy who shot it with a camera and a better picture let me know. the [anther before being shot had taken out a Sherman cutting one of the guys legs in half . i think they show the footage on here also. yes 1:50 is the footage
