I wrote this song in the year 2000. Helping people "help themselves" has always been my trademark. But anyone who does it often enough eventually run into people who love to have other people do things for them. And still there are others who are addicted to drowning others in their problems and reveling in them instead of solving them. To enable those people, I believe, is wrong. It's bad for their health. You either like the tune, or you are someone else's problem.

The music is good, the lyrics... global consciousness my friend - like it or not, other peoples' problems are your problems; the lyrics feel slightly whinny and narcissistic.
