I was on Accutane ten years ago, and my skin looked like porcelain; however, my skin on my body was extremely sensitive, to the point that if i hit my hand on the table my skin on my hands would open and bleed. I was on accutane for 3 months and then I suddenly stopped because I got panic attacks. Well my skin stayed clear for almost 7 months before my acne came back almost as bad as it was before. Your acne will come back for most people even with the 6 month treatment. As the effect of the medicine wears off thats when your glands return to normal and you get pimples again. Your acne will not be as bad as it originally was but just expect it will most likely come back but you will be able to manage

Then my face started breaking out again and eventually progressed. Well I tried to get rid of my acne without going back to the accutane and it did not work at all!! thank you very much =] I only use bare minerals now because 1) I don't need as much coverage and 2) my face is more oily. I Would not use a powder based foundation while on accutane. I used Era Spray on Foundation in color R4 (i wasn't tan; when tan, I use R6). Good luck =)
