I must correct my reply: I said the graphic engine is terrible... well, it's not! I'm currently in trial and when I run the game in DX10 mode performance are very poor... But as I run it in DX9 mode I can keep maximum detail! Yay!
Honestly: one of the worst game I've ever played. Graphic engine is very heavy even with a dual core, 4 giga ram DDR2 and good video card (which is more than suggested system requirements on box and official site). 2 years after release is still hard to find someone able to run it at max detail.
All game is quest based, very solo-oriented, and large parte of Tortage content is istanced and for single player... Not worth a montly fee imho.
wow is great... and you can't beat that... i mean was great! i played wow while tbc... from the beagining to the end of it... TBC was most epic mmo game, and i think still is... but unfortunatly... wotlk shit ruined everything... when wotlk came most of wow players saw what kind of shit is that... i stoped playing wow around mounth after wotlk realese... and would never come back because of it... but tbc rocked... and graphics is cartoon which rocks btw. and it's on purpose.

There IS a free 10 (or was it 14?) day trial you can try you know. It limits you to level 20, but when you trial is over I think you can keep playing, except that lvl 20 limit is still there and you can't quit the start area.
Gaah, im so frustrated, i just reopened my AoC Subscription, i launched the game, and it crashed..reason; all my system settings are quite far above the minimum...except for my Cpu speed...i have 1.6 ghz, and the minimum is 3 ghz..why is this happening to me *sigh*

I have tried Lotro, WoW, AoC and Guild Wars. I prefer WoW best, just because it has larger community and all aspects ( even when they got worse with WoTLK ) are much better done than in any of those 3 games.
I haven't tried AoC after launch, but I probably never will it just looks like a MMO that is barely staying alive and everything seems rather boring.
@Manzarek I have tried many other MMO's and I still play WoW. Because it's kinda hard to quit when you have alots of friends and stuff happening :/ And yes I admit that WoW is getting boring.

This game offers you an incredible awesome graphical environment, that is if your computer allows you to handle it. I remember buying myself a brand new monster computer last year along with this game, was really excited about playing AoC on maxed out graphics but even though my computer was brand new and had pretty much overall awesome specs, AoC didn't allow me to play it on full graphic, had to run around on medium/high and still lagged, hey were ahead of their time in MMORPG graphics sadly
it's actually a between medieval =] i played it, but am waiting for bugs to be fixed... and they have to add new places with.. you know, leveling :P people are stuck on lvl 40 etc. anyway, the graphics are amazing, and the gameplay is too. The chat system aint that good as wow, but it's good enough. But the music.... DAMN! and the quests, makes it epic. Think about how it is to do real quests like in movies by yourself, that's how it is there. So, it's a worth to try too :]
many has been wining on forums and in game after the new patch. Its getting a new little update today with some small class refinements... I don't know how it turnes out but I think its a pretty nice balance just that ppl had to learn their 80s class over again. new feats and all that. Game is not very good, no end game worth speeking of, bugs everywere, battle keeps are bugged, so if u loose one u still have buffs, pvp is very boring. LvL'ing is very dull. But at least they got the combat system down for most class's. Wait another year, if it is still around try it then.
Oh ya and if u have a battle keep it burns, and u keep it. pvp buffs stack, do it a couple of times, and guess how has the most pvp invuls. Game is just Fail.

Blizzard has indeed gone the commercial toure and became quite a disgrace although WoW is still a nice and ever graphic-wise improving game. although you need to like the fantasy look, which I love btw.

Im lvl 59 in this game, or i was. I stopped because i thought i didnt came anywhere. The only thing you could do at that lvl was to grind villas. Is it still the same?
Nop you dont have to grind anymore, they have added 1 new zone Ymir's pass lvl 55-65, best zone i ever played. Very fun and well made zone.
They have added many new quests for all lvls and revamped dungeons, in january they will lunch a new huge patch with 2 new lvl 80 dungeons 1 new lvl 46 dungeon and much much more, this game is really fun and cool !
That is pretty much the same rig as I had at launch, and you will be able to run the game at medium setting or so with it. Depending on operating system I would suggest atleast 1 more gig of RAM though.

also when u get an epic u are good since most 60s didn't had epics in that time
TBC became more about epics while in WOTLK u can be full epic geared within 2 days and get into ICC with luck also its all about Gear Score now >.>

I played this after launch but quit when I got to lvl 53 and had nowhere to level.
Funcom just offered me a free re-trial so I'm gonna give AoC another chance. WoW just grinded to a halt for me recently.

Well.. it looks nice, still have to try it. but there is just something about the player models that looks wierd.. it's the texture I think it looks a little too.. plastic.. that might be the computers I have seen it on but eh.. I don't know.. think I'm gonna stick to guild wars untill guildwars 2 comes out or secret world..

Oh my, why are people always fighing about wich mmo is the best one on the comments? Every game has it good points, and bad ones. My favorite at the moment is indeed Age of Conan, been playing it since launch and i still love it, but ofcourse it's a taste thing! I do like WoW too, i'm usually play both AoC and WoW at the same time to get some variation! But for crying out load folks, stop hacking at different games! xD

hey is it many ppl that still play this game? I stopt playing it when WotLK came to wow but now im not playing wow anymore, so im thinking of playing AoC again but donno if its worth it. but i do got a lvl 70 necro : )

Game is not very good, no end game worth speeking of, bugs everywere, battle keeps are bugged, so if u loose one u still have buffs, pvp is very boring. LvL'ing is very dull. But at least they got the combat system down for most class's. Wait another year, if it is still around try it then.

Oh ya and if u have a battle keep it burns, and u keep it. pvp buffs stack, do it a couple of times, and guess how has the most pvp invuls. Game is just Fail.
Played since lauch, quit finaly yesterday, I think i have given it enough time.

Blizzard has indeed gone the commercial toure and became quite a disgrace although WoW is still a nice and ever graphic-wise improving game. although you need to like the fantasy look, which I love btw.
GW was always the free MMO with ncie graphics and is a piece of art.
and Age of Cohan is a huge game with a lot of bugs but with amazing graphics.
but tbh, don't judge any of them unless you played then more then 7 days, I did and I like all :) although I play WoW the most :)

The soundtrack to this game is awesome. WoW was a good game but ''was'' being the operative word. its so over bloated and just seems like its not worth lvling and playing so i stopped at 70

Nop, you dont have to grind anymore.
They have added many new quest, a hole new zone and ALOT more stuff, this game is really good now days.

Im lvl 59 in this game, or i was. I stopped because i thought i didnt came anywhere. The only thing you could do at that lvl was to grind villas. Is it still the same?

Nop you dont have to grind anymore, they have added 1 new zone Ymir's pass lvl 55-65, best zone i ever played. Very fun and well made zone.
They have added many new quests for all lvls and revamped dungeons, in january they will lunch a new huge patch with 2 new lvl 80 dungeons 1 new lvl 46 dungeon and much much more, this game is really fun and cool !
Recommend it to everyone.

That is pretty much the same rig as I had at launch, and you will be able to run the game at medium setting or so with it. Depending on operating system I would suggest atleast 1 more gig of RAM though.
