As you should know the width and focus of the beam decides how fast it will take to cut tape and pop balloons. This one is measured true 200mW with a laserpower meter. Yours might have the focus nearer the unit wich results in faster burning

this is 200mw..its the beam diameter you need to know about..

you can have a laser with 2mm in beam diameter but it will take longer to light a match than a regular 1.2mm beam diameter..

plus this laser is DPSS and this type of laser isnt for burning..its for light shows

It is just like you said it. There are just the particles in the air that make the beam visible. At a wavelength of 532nm the beam can be seen much better than e.g. 633nm because our eyes work better at these wavelengths.

And so at this high power and the particles in the air you are able to see the beam.

That's the whole point. When the red balloon is is used, more of the green light is reflected, and not used to heat up the balloon and pop it. If you had a red laser that was powerful enough to pop a green balloon, it would go faster than if you used a red one. However, it is still very difficult for any laser to cut or even burn something white, but it is very easy to do it for black, hence he electrical tape experiments. This is because black absorbs and white reflects.

Pretty much any power will not set fire to anything, unless it's something like a match. It will smolder, but at 200mW, the white wall does not burn, and because it's white, it relflects most of the light.
