@CeresLegend@CeresLegend why? he is charming and he is not totally bald LOL if he left his hair he can hide it a little bit ...Hugh has bald since his 30
@HeartlessConservativ LOL many men are bald ,beard has nothing to do with his head ..Many people are bald and have beard its not weird..Espcially for Hugh ..He has bald 20 years now
Funny how Hugh is talking about Stephen Fry acting as Mycroft (Sherlock Holmes' brother) when he eventually becomes that role exactly in Sherlock Holmes 2.
like this if it made you want to go watch house again! Hugh Laurie cannot be described or complimented enough, even if the whole interview is spent doing so!
@daithesceptic He's not a dick man! Come on, he has a sarcastic sense of humor but take it in the spirit it's meant to be he is a funny guy and asks great questions!
@ReducedToAsh I think he hates interviews, but he gradually warmed to this one because Ross mostly wasn't asking him the questions he always gets asked. (Except the bike bit, and the bit about moving to the US.) He definitely appreciated the Scottish accent joke because American presenters are *always* asking him if it's hard to keep up the American accent.
@plevyman He got asked about his dad, too. Pretty much everything he usually gets asked about, except he did a little comedic twist on the accent thing.
@arrywaterworth08 I'm in a silly mood as it is but an onscreen reunion of Hugh and Laurie gave me a 5-minute eye-watering laughing/screaming fit. So thanks for that :D
I'm not a Twitter person, Jonathan, no. I'm... I'm more of a "shhh" person. I've subscribed to this "shhh" network where you write something down but don't send it anywhere.
@Beefie11 He more left because he felt he was getting stared upon by the BBC for what he says, and he didn't want to slip into saying something bad once that got him sacked. So he left when he felt he was safe still.
Isn't it weird that he talks of Stephen Fry playing a Mycroft character & Fry is currently filming Sherlock Holmes 2 where he is playing the part of Mycroft.
I dont know if hugh laurie keeps playing dr. house or dr. house is just like hugh laurie but what he says and the way he acts on tv he always stays that clever and funny 50 year old that we all love so much
@lizoerd hmmm you not wanting to start a fanclub sounds like some daddy complexes, I'm from Belgium and i could cure you! coincidentally i also have a limp and a drug addiction
@lizoerd The correct term would be Dutch indeed.. But i wouldn't say that it's a dialect. Dutch people for example think that everything is 'lekker' while we only use that word if it's about food. W becomes a v in Dutch, thet have 3 different ways of pronouncing the letter 'R', every s is an sh and station becomes statsion. G's sound like they vomit and sneeze at the same time. L's and o's sound different and i can go on and on. Vloms zeg ik ou!
@lizoerd i kneeew that, was only testing you... well done you passed, so hows about us playin doctor? you could sing to me with that heart warming voice of yours
I never watched Ross cause I always thought him a bit of a dick. I still do, but I have to say damn he knows how to interview a person.
Compare his style to any and all of the fake moron chatshow hosts over in the USA. Ross asked most of the same questions they did, but did it in such a way Laurie was encouraged and allowed to speak rather than give a stock answer.
Letterman and all could learn a lot from watching Ross. Like how to bloody interview without being boring or patronising.
I love that he gets the same two questions "Could you diagnose/treat someone in real life" and "I hear your father was a doctor. How does that affect you/your portrayal of the role" and he doesn't just give a stock answer each time.
There's so few utterly nice people on the planet who are extremely famous, extremely rich and extremely popular. 99% of the time arrogance takes over and people in that position can't help but assume their status makes them better than other people. Hugh Laurie is one of the few exceptions, he'd be charming, polite and friendly to anyone he met. Great great guy.
@hsm3freak Stephen Fry, I can assume you're not British. Hugh and Stephen used to do a lot of comedy work together, they've been friends for years and years

I don't understand why a lot of English people on here get so upset that Americans think Hugh Laurie is American.
That is the context we know him in.
His older comedy doesn't air very often here.
It's not my civic duty to look up the national origins of every actor on TV.
If you speak with an American accent, I'm going to assume you're American.
Obviously.
