VVVV I'm 21 yrs old too and smoke my fair share of ganj but that's beside the point... I love this song so much!!! I grew up with Echo along with Siouxsie, The Smiths and New Order. I still think these bands are revolutionary to this day and have influenced a ton of bands afterwards. Damn, I love the 80's!! :D
The reason talent is "hard to find" is because, unlike those times, record companies now hire "hit makers" rather than talented people. I'm not dissing nowadays musicians, what I mean is back then, the record companies managers were a bit more open to new bands.
In any case, if you're a musician like I am just keep playing, and create your own chance. If you're a music fan, support the incoming artists if you like them...
@Carlosmr1984 True but you can't blame record companies either because they're only trying to make a living too. So they need to be more careful chosing which artists to support. Because the music industry has changed so much since the time of this video, they need hit makers, rather than talents because those are risky investments...
What has happened to music you'll be very hard pressed to find a good band in the 21st century sures theres plenty of bands you listen to and think "oh this sounds pretty good" but you dont find many whose albums you would go out and buy, Echo and the Bunnymen are one of those bands whose work i would happily pay for.
I'm not one to pick fights, let alone online a, but somehow I'm not so sure I can agree with your opinion. What you are stating is that "all the good stuff has already been written and now there's nothing left". This is simply not true. I wager you can go to any period in history, all the people would say that same thing. I would argue that actually there's never been a more fertile time for music. I'm 19 and I love this music, but I have great respect for the genius yet to come
@DeadWhiteButterflies im not saying is dead im saying your hard pressed to find great music nowadays, i mean lets face it the majority of modern music you hear about is tailored for 13 year olds, i mean you have to look really hard to find a good band nowadays whereas in the 80s-90s that wouldnt have been the case
@MrSamuraibry I disagree with you, the only music that is tailored for 13 year olds is the mainstream pop. There are literally hundreds of thousands of bands still creating music just as good as this.
Fate Up against your will Through the thick and thin He will wait until You give yourself to him In starlit nights I saw you So cruelly you kissed me Your lips a magic world Your sky all hung with jewels The killing moon Will come too soon
Fate Up against your will Through the thick and thin He will wait until You give yourself to him Under blue moon I saw you So soon you'll take me Up in your arms Too late to beg you or cancel it Though I know it must be the killing time Unwillingly mine
I first saw it on The Documentry The last 48 hours of Kurt Cobain Ans then I saw It On Discovery world ad for "Events That Shook The World" pretty neat song
i was going crazy looking for this song... i usually watch discovery channel and this song was playing again n again, background music of "events that shook the world"
there's also this other song playing in the background of Investigation discovery.. that one's pretty nice too.

"P2P kind of made it impossible for any underground bands to afford making records anymore"
Bullshit. It's easier than ever for an underground band to make it. It's cheaper to record and release music. It's much easier to promote yourself.
The only thing that's more difficult now is being "underground" because there is no longer an underground.
