CMT has gone to the dumps ever since it was bought out by MTV. Both channels need to remember what the M stands for and go back to playing videos. On a different note, this is one of my favorite songs for the brilliance of the lyrics ("I've had misadventures/I've even got pictures/ I'm even more than I can stand" for example).

It was his 2nd wife and her 2nd husband. She was dealing with major depression and migranes and she shot herself with a .22 in their bedroom after she asked Gary to grab her something to drink around midnight.
Sad story for sure, but his music/writing is still amazing.

CMT has gone to the dumps ever since it was bought out by MTV. Both channels need to remember what the M stands for and go back to playing videos. On a different note, this is one of my favorite songs for the brilliance of the lyrics ("I've had misadventures/I've even got pictures/ I'm even more than I can stand" for example).

@alamanderflash That's true. Its what has kept most of us away from those channels. But a lot of people like the new stuff. I guess it depends on what we grow up with, but, ive seen some people change with changing fasion and i dont understand them, i mean just adopt something because its famous?

@alamanderflash That's why GAC is so much better. They actually play music videos. The bad thing is some people can't get that channel. I think it is worth the extra money though. gotta have my country music :)

I love Gary, my first ever concert of his was at 'Thunder Valley Casino' in Lincoln Ca, then it was 'Country in the Park' Sac Ca. I guess I love that he stays true to himself. Never gets caught up in the glam stuff.....and He is AMAZING in concert.

I think Gary did an awesome job at this song. I think you are not looking at Gary's point of view. As for his cover for Vertical Horizon's Best I Ever Had, I liked the vertical horizon better. So, i guess, we like what we like

Good to hear that. The girl I like, is getting married tomorrow and she has invited me too, so, when im there, and there is songs playing there, ill be playing some songs in my mind, and this one, "you look so good in love" by George Strait and "i see it now" buy Tracey Lawrence, would definitely be playing in my thoughts : P

Well, his third wife, Angela, killed herself (Oct 25, 2004), according to Wikipedia. And I think my friend from Midwest, "Amber", told me she shot herself with a shotgun. Must've been devastating for him
