what does you paying 500 for a remap and tuning have anything to do with our conversation?

all im saying is that having an upgraded exhaust really makes a difference. god could have told you that having a stock exhaust and only upgrading the cats is the only thing that makes a hp difference, but i would still know you were full of crap because what your saying is not logical. i have no more time to waste on you.

believe me, it is the same for almost every car out there. if you do dyno it with an open manifold you will see a much bigger hp gain than with just the cats off. its all about the restriction of flow, and the cats restrict the flow plus the rest of the exhaust. on top of this, why do you think people get custom exhausts? yes, it makes them sound sportier, but they also give you more hp. its the facts.

i dont think thats accurate, usually upgraded exhausts are larger and less restrictive which in turn gives greater hp gain. the cats make a pretty big difference though. i would never spend the money on them though, i would just take them off all together then put them back on every time the car has to go for emission tests.

thats very good for an exhaust. the best is an open manifold. not legal, but noisy as hell.
