  • im going to do this project this weekend i thought this was a great idea! thank you !

  • Great project girls.

  • This is a great and simple project to make. Good for the outdoors.

  • Allison sounds like a gay man. just sayin. love the project

  • Beautiful! I can't wait to make one, with my daughters. Buffalo is a quite spectacular secret with all our art talent.

  • Where can you buy paper umbrellas? I wouldn't know where to buy them. Decoration shop or sth?

  • @nesseline Party shop that deals in paper goods

  • @nesseline as a follow up to someone else's reply: or you can easily get them online from party stores' websites or ebay, amazon, overstock, etc.

  • i have a paper lantern just like the white one they used, mine hangs above my bed and i love it. the paper on mine has never caught fire or anything, and i've had it for like ten years. bummer that my lantern is lime green or else i would so do this project tomorrow! guess it's a reason to go to Target!! ;) thanks for this Etsy. i LOVE LOVE LOVE your site! and also love that the creator has the same name as me! danielles are awesome!

  • cool!

  • Great fun! Love it.

  • I can´t believe it! I just made one the last year (whit less umbrellas) but its the same idea!!! wowww...great! I live in Spain! ;)

  • I would've liked to see the whole lantern from afar.

  • Brilliant! Can't wait to have a go at making one :-)

  • Wouldn't the heat of the lamp loosen the glue and cause some slipage?

  • @revbarbsagat I would say no, unless you use low melt glue. I'm assuming you'd use a fairly low watt bulb because it's a paper lantern, and glue sticks need very high temps to melt.

  • and the umbrellas are partially see-through too so they don't block out the light! how perfectt!! :)

  • They should be using an LED or something that produces less head with a paper lantern.

  • Very cool!

  • Great funky idea. If you are concerned about the heat of the light bulb use a florescent light bulb.

  • That's really cute. How safe are paper lanterns? I need a new bulb cover in my kitchen. Maybe I could cover a glass one similarly.

  • @LeftOfToday i know that the glass around my lights heats up alot.... be careful!

  • That's a really cute lantern! Great project! Too bad you can't fold them back up to store- guess you'll just have to keep it out allllll year :D

  • aw where is the dude?? D: :P

  • I love you etsy...keep up the good work ! <3

  • great project

  • so gonna make these!

  • Its so pretty!

  • love it!
