no... but it doesn't allow you to choose a single PERMANENT color... the keypad changes colors automatically when you press the buttons and it auto cycles when you play music.

I sold this phone to someone I work with and bought another China phone from FocalPrice...
You should check them out, rather than Deal Extreme, if you want a HUGE selection of unique phones at very cheap prices.

Yes, you can lock the keypad and/or the touchscreen. unlocks by pressing the left "-" and the # key. yes it has vibration and silent mode >=]
