  • Saw the wedding ring and young looking hands starting up an engine and it brought back memories. I used to have those a long time ago but they're all gone. I pray that you treat your wife better than I treated mine, and that you do whatever it takes to avoid the pain of divorce and regret after she's gone. God bless.

  • 0.1cc? First time i've seen such thing! Pretty cool, could be good for a mini rc plane but it doesn't have torque for anything else.

  • the engine leaks

lol thats why i sold mine

  • @HomelessGuyTrilogy The oil is from the exhaust. This engine does not run hot enough to burn the oil.

  • It sounds like a pissed off mosquito

  • Coolest shit I've seen on youtube all day

  • Aww they are so cute! (Being serious!!) lol

  • i have about three of these engines and asorted other stuff ie fule tanks and tatone tick off timers i am in no need of them and going to put them up for sale on ebay if some of you are interested let me know ill be throwing them on ebay over the week and if there is someone who knows more about the details of the engines i have i would really appricate some info

  • @glennd789 3 AE .1cc engine or just 3 model engines?

  • Awesome!!

  • where did you buy and how much you cost, please answer

  • @jorge199516 Ebay. They sell for 100-200USD, sometimes more. They were last produced around 1998.

  • @rcdieselrc :( :(

  • @jorge199516 They come up on Ebay 2-3 times a year. With patience, you'll find one.

  • Ha a Prius engine, but seriously those little engines are very neat

  • cummins or duramax??

  • Where could you buy an engine like this and get a good deal?

  • @zmbrand They are collectable. A good deal would be between 100-200USD. Someone will have to letting one go from their collection to find one.

  • can you sell this engine to me

  • @nitromelvinz80 Sorry, it is not for sale.

  • Anyway I know where a .10 four stroke can be had for 150.

  • @nitroairplane I guess I better start working on a something smaller?

  • Many even think the tee dee .010 is the smallest engine.

  • @nitroairplane That is probably the most common very small engine out there. Obscure items from pre-internet days, might as well be non existent in today's world.

  • what are you adjusting? glow plug?

  • @Ibringthetruth1 I'm adjusting the compression ratio. This engine does not use a glow plug.

  • What a cute little sucker. would be awsome in small model helicopter,

  • Fantastic!!! Congratulations.

  • kinda thought it would do closer to maybe 60,000 rpm since ones around 4 to 5 cc do over 20,000

  • @superbungabunga It was not designed to turn that fast. In a model airplanes there is little use for an engine turning much over 33,000 RPM.

  • @rcdieselrc yeah but smaller models turn faster

  • @superbungabunga Yes, assuming they were designed with high speed in mind. There are ~1cc engines that run over 40,000RPM it really depends on your application. High RPM is not the same as high power.

  • @rcdieselrc If you would have 2 identical engines where one is at say 20k rpm and the other at 40k rpm the last one will create more horsepower then the first.

  • @dtiydr That is the case only if the 40,000RPM engine makes more than 50% of the torque of the 20,000RPM engine. Remember that HP is torque and RPM. I fully understand power and torque. It all depends on how you'll be using that power to make the best use of the engine available.

  • @rcdieselrc Didnt ment that you didnt understood only kinda queston from me nothe else. :) But if you have the same torque on them both (the same distance from centrum of crankshaft to the piston pin i guess) so should the power go up if you increased the rpm?

  • @dtiydr Torque production is not only the crankpin radius. The gas pressure acting on the piston comes into play in the production of torque.Yes, the big question is "if". You'd have to look at he torque curve of the engine. If torque is falling rapidly after 20kRPM, the engine will not make any more power with increased speed. It all depends on the design and development. Engine design is a lot of compromise in cost, complexity, and power output.

  • Did u buy or build this

  • @MadCow10123 It was purchased. This engine was commercially produced by Allen Engineering in the 1990's.

  • Hello, I'm in the modeling a project, and needed to purchase a diesel engine, as this or smaller. Where can I buy? This engine allows you to adjust the speed? How many RPM it gives? Many Thank Paulo.

  • sounds like a tiny fart

  • ok if you say so. but the shape of the prop-blade looks weird to me. ano one else have a coment om the prop/rotation ?

  • that sounds like a fly

  • ok, so the prop is not for this rotation direktion ?

  • @hondamannen1 The prop is a standard prop and the engine runs in the usual direction. You can see the oil being blown to the rear of the engine in the video.

  • You start the engine the wrong direktion !!! look at the propeller. this engine shoud probably run counterclockvise as other modelengines. you start it clockvise.

  • @hondamannen1 This engine has a spring starter. The spring is hooked around the prop, and wound clockwise. When you let go, the spring spins it counterclockwise. I've run a few engines.

  • @rcdieselrc thanks for the reply. I have an early 50's Wen Mac .049, can I convert it or start it the same way as a compression ignition diesel engine? how is the diesel internally different than the nitro .049

  • @Jx1x3 Normally diesels are built much stronger to withstand the higher forces from the greater compression ratio. Model diesels can have a compression ratio twice that of a glow engine. Many glow engine can be converted to diesel, but I'm not familiar with the WenMac. I've never heard of anyone converting a Wenmac, though, it's probably not strong enough.

  • how do you heat the glow plug ?

  • @Jx1x3 There is no glow plug. This is a compression ignition "diesel" engine.

  • Is the fuel for this just ordinary diesel fuel that you could buy at any gas station?

  • @brad3378 Model diesel engines run on a model diesel fuel consisting of kerosene, ether and oil. They use a carburetor instead of an injection system.

  • Is this what mosquitoes fly in?

  • very showww

  • exhaust port in the back? looks like a leak... the wooden bloc is all wet

  • @BASS0090 Radial exhaust ports. These tiny engines do not burn the oil in the fuel so it ends up all over what it's mounted to.

  • I had one of these quite a few years ago, and it was a pain in the arse. Low power, hard to start, noisy because they didn't have a proper exhaust, and hard to find fuel for.

Give me nitro and glow plugs all day long.

Oh yeah, while I'm here, they pop the cylinder heads off with monotonous regularity due to vibration and stress forces on those tiny little BSF head bolts they run...

And how close do you really want to get to the prop whilst adjusting the compression to keep it running?

  • @jamesvize To each his own. I like diesels and and running them.

  • thats not diesel thats nitro

  • @DodgeRangeRover The fuel is kerosene, ether, and oil. No glow plug either.

  • @rcdieselrc sorry about that I have never seen a diesel motor like that but now I have

  • @rcdieselrc I want one. How much is it?

  • @vikingvengeance This engine was commercially produced by Allen Engineering in the 1990's. They show up on Ebay a couple times a year for 100-200USD.

  • @rcdieselrc Was it comercialy produced?

It was my understanding that the smallest comercialy produced engine was the DC Bambi and that is bigger than this by 0.05cc.

  • @nitroairplane Yes, these were readily available when AE was building engines. I've seen probably 20 on Ebay over the years. Check Ron Chernich's site for details about AE.

  • @rcdieselrc I know a fair amount about these.

They were designed by Dennis Allen of AE but did not know that they were comercially produced as the Bambi was although I had suspected it for a while but if so why does everyone see the bambi as the smallest mass produced?

  • @nitroairplane I don't know. Similarly many think the OS FS-20 was the smallest commercially produced four stroke. It actually displaces .217ci while the HP VT-21 is slightly smaller at .212ci. Trivial for sure.

  • It's a mosquito!

  • that thing is awesome...but its more awesome that it sounds like a fly :)

  • sounds like a REALLY pissed off bee.

  • awesome,i want to have it :D

  • will it blend ?

  • @LP2LP2 you can blend my one it is terrible and wont run. So how much you offering?

  • @xrayracer1

The 2012 Prius makes just over 130hp. the 1.8L I seriously doubt that puts out anything close to that

  • @MalcomseXatYaMasHous By my calculations this engine makes 3 watts or .004 HP.

  • Great one there I still havent gotten mine to run like that.

  • DAAAHHHAHA!

    Its adorable XD

I bet this is what a Dodge Cummins sperm looks like.

  • does the crank shaft have a little play or is it normal?

  • @soverato3 My engine has a lot of end play. I might might a new drive washer to fix that. Crankshaft to crankcase fit is good.

  • @rcdieselrc Where can I get one of these????

  • @PalomboDylan This engine was commercially produced by Allen Engineering in the 1990's. They show up on Ebay a couple times a year for 100-200USD.

  • hola,el carburador lo as echo tu ???

me puedes desir como lo as echo???????

hi, as I echo your carburetor??

I can echo as desir as ???????

  • @ELBARTODEMARIO This venturi and needle is a very old Super Tigre part. I'm not sure where you'd get one now.

  • really cool engine dude!

  • @Pharao123321 Yeah, many of these very small engines can be troublesome, but I'm happy with it. Now, I just need to build an airplane for it.

  • where can i get one

  • @keronshing They are long out of production. They show up on Ebay a couple times a year for 100-200USD.

  • I think it would cut your finger straight off, haha!

  • put it in a prius, maybe id buy it

  • @aaronzack14 it would have more power than a prius LOL!!

  • sound like a mosquito LOL

  • what that on the cylinder head

  • @nekdonoben Model diesel engines generally have adjustable compression ratio. That is the adjusting screw.

  • @rcdieselrc for ignition right cuz there is no plug

  • @nekdonoben Yes, Compression ratio influences ignition timing.

  • what ratios are you mixing your fuel too? do you mix more eather vs kerosene for the smaller engines?

  • @hadabeesago This particular engine is happy with standard fuel of 28% oil, 35% ether, 2% DII, and balance kerosene.

  • Wow, and I though my TRX2.5R (Revo) was really god damn small

  • Cute. It seems a bit fussy to keep running, but sure would look nice on about a 16" span ff model. Bore and stroke for this baby would have to be less than 5mm. Thanks for posting this video!

  • @706jim1 In this video it hadn't been run for a while. Any left over castor from previous runs makes it hard to tune until it's cleared out. it really should be flushed after use and treated with light oil ot prevent this. Once run it runs very well. I have two planes in mind, a small Telemaster, or a small V-tail Bee-Tween. That's after I make a larger tank mount to make a reasonable run time.

  • Fantastic!

  • where do I get the Plans for that engine?

  • @snotfree This engine was commercially produced by Allen Engineering in the 1990's. There are no plans available.

  • so cute…...

  • a question that makes the spark in the engine because the engine has no spark plug yours then that makes the spark to burn fuel

  • @jorge199516 This is a compression ignition engine.

  • @rcdieselrc thanks for answering it, besides how much they cost and where these engines are sold

  • @jorge199516 diesel engines doesn't have spark plugs. They have bigger compression than petrol. Compression gets bigger and bigger until mixture goes off

  • Amazing. Tell me one thing please, why model diesel engines always leaks fuel?

  • @NeoAndersonn It's not leaking fuel. That is unburned oil in the exhaust. Model diesels do not run hot enough, especially the small ones, to burn the oil.

  • @rcdieselrc THANK YOU for your reply. By the way where this engine was made? It's a beautiful little bee! Congrats! I love tiny model diesel engine, I've four already!

  • @NeoAndersonn The AE series were made in England by Dennis Allen who was also responsible for the Allen Mercury model diesels of the 50's.

  • wow that must have some great mileage lol and a very small sparkplug?

  • @redbaron447 This engine has no spark plug. It is a model diesel engine. Actually efficiency at this size is poor.

  • Oke ,thanks for reply.I buy also almost onec on E-Bay 2 in one price. The 0,1 and I think the 1cc,but i am not sure. But somboby snap it away in front of my nose,ha,ha..

I have somthing about 90+ engines mostly diesels. At the moment I tuning a Marz 2,5.cc Its a real screamer! Its a extreem shortstroke engine,..(like AMCO 3,.5) .reduce the piston weight by aprox 25 % and make a new pistonpin at least 30 % lighter.Flow the 6 channels a bit and only must now open up the ventury.I make a video..

  • Nice littel bee...I was always thing, the are made wel! Ofcourse not the for exampel Arne Hendel Quality, but stil good. But it runs nice....sweet diesel!!

    Keep it up! ...

  • @valic000 It runs well after I replaced the venturi. I suppose the piston and liner is good. If they weren't, the engine would be a paperweight. The tank is too small for RC, so I'll likely make a larger one.

  • it is very very small

  • ill buy that man. how much is your lowest price youd sell it for??

  • @pumpmaster760 Sorry, not for sale. They can be found on thEbay if you're patient, about twice a year, at 100-200USD
