  • I made a cardboard version of this and it was amazing so if u want to work less on making the plane make it out of cardboard

  • Im looking to get into rc planes but i dont know what i need to make it fly with thrust vectoring what are the basic electronics i need?

  • Question, how thick is the foam used to bulit this? 6 mm?

  • @BigbotCollections Yeah pretty darn close to 6mm. It's the $1 sheet foam board from the Dollar Tree stores.

  • hey mikey i print the plane model but i wanna compare my plane his weight

and cant find the weight of your f-22

  • That fly really good maybe even better than those expensive bananahobby planes

  • @archedperson =) Ahmen to that.......and they are WAY WAY WAY cheaper too!

  • dude u've got brains alright....

talk about thinking out of the square ....

    making ur own plane shells..

    congrats man....

  • whats the music??

  • @dotster35 click on "Show More" to see.

  • could you help because i have 20c 3 cell lipo battery and its a bit heavy for my plane. and im running it on the graysonhobby microjet V3 motor and it is really heavy. will that type of motor lift up a 1 pound plane? the motor is a 2200kv brushless outrunner

  • about the esc do i have to get w/ bec or it doesn't matter? thanks

  • cool puppet!

  • Is this a good plane for beginners

  • I found the foam board in Alabama at Staples 3 30x40 sheets for $16.00

  • I found the foam board in Alabama at Staples 3 30x40 sheets for $16.00

  • it has tons of power! EDF is a great inprovement!

  • wowowowowowo this is sick!!!! nice !!

  • @pinkseg6 Thanks! =)

  • question what type of foam u use??? i already dowloaded the pdf and everything is set but i need to get the foam so i was wondering was is the best foam to use ?? something that is sort of not breakeble so easy?

  • @pinkseg6 It's called "foam board" Google that and you will see what I'm talking about.

  • i dont really understand how to make the aileron and the elevator do i have to cut them at a angle or something?? do they can be moveable?? thaxxx

  • thanks! one more question (Sorry) how do i connect a battery to 2 ESC or i need 2 batteries? and how do i connect 2 ESC to 1 Rx

  • @heberorozco In eityher case you need to use a "y" wire or a "splitter"

  • hi! how do you secure the ducted fans to the body of the plane?

  • @heberorozco Just hot glue.

  • I think that plane is a hit. I am not real sure of the real benefits to vector thrust? I think it would just get me into trouble, but since I actually do not fly yet, I don't know. Besides that, the F22 is not a beginners plane - Think I will start with the Aileron Trainer. Thanks for all the great video -

  • do you have a raptor with rudder?

  • @heberorozco No but you can easily add one to this plane.

  • can you make a build video plzzzzzzzzz !!!!!

  • @rccrazer Search my archive of Ustream videos and you will find one.

  • where can i get the electronics?

  • @neonbluen851 hobbypartz dot com

  • I love the soundtrack. Could you please tell me the song?

  • @ibmxx look in the drop down info in the top of the video....it's there.

  • when are you going to put the how to build video for this F22

  • go search for MikeysRC on ustream and there are 2 videos where I show you how to build about 90% of the jet.

  • OK found it, why not you tube though

  • Just haven't made the "official" F-22 build vids yet. That was just a recording of my live show.

  • have you built one using a 2200 kv and a pusher prop?

I designed a f22 of my own, and the 2200 runs it fine, I think mine is smaller then yours but heavier I built a full size bottom. I really havent done much but do some take off testing, Its cool because when I cut the motor it just gluides down soft and smooth. But snow has ruined flying for me right now plus car engine finally blew so I am without a car. will get radio as soon as I get new car LOL

  • PS I did use alot of your techniques and posted a video of the "experimental first build" You can see how I did the control surfaces. I sued your way of instaling the servos.

even though it flies i made a few mistakes and after watching your F22 video I want to make more changes so the plane will be really different when the completed plans are done.

    Your a good insperation!

  • wow impressive this motivates me to build one and get back into rc flying again and made it affordable again.

  • Hey Mikey this is a very impressive plane! I can't believe how nice it flies! Can I build it out of Poster board (called foamboard at hobby lobby so i bought that =0)?

  • Yes definitely foam board is what I use for all my planes. Depron is too fragile and flimsy.

  • The music is strikebeam by waterflame check out his awesome music

  • for sure , and thanks for the exi lessons i share your vids in the forums

  • Cool, thank you for doing that. I really appreciate it.

  • Nice flying and the F-22 looks easy to fly. Also the ducted fan units look like you can power through some high winds or do cool stunts easily.

  • Yeah with the twin fans it definitely has good power.

  • Love all of your videos your like our R/C guru I love the spitfire it was my very first plane. It was great to have the walk through of building it. I am tackling the f22 raptor next. Will you be showing a scrap build of the f22?

Anywaz as I said big fan here keep up the excellent work

  • Hey Phunny96, thanks for the nice comments! Yes I will be doing a Hot To build video series for the F-22. I plan on doing it for ALL my designs. I want it to take any guess work out of making my planes. Stay tuned. I will get to those videos. But in the mean time don't hesitate to ask me specific questions.

  • thanks for helping with my aileron conection question. took a few minutes to figure out the offset and neutral position for the aux. but it it looks good and I have high hopes. perhaps the piper J3 will fly.

  • Gotta show some supermaneuverability, dude. The real ones do it! Heh.

Hey, um, can't you move the fan units farther forward and use some tubing behind them to increase efficiency?

  • K, I'll try to make a video of super tight turns and flips.

Yeah some tubing or ducting would help. I'm just so lazy and it works so well the way it is.

  • awesome. just awesome

  • This is awesome

  • These designs are ingenius. I travel to Mexico for work and have been looking for something to share with the kids down there who have next to no recources to work with. The sport trainer is perfect. I just need to find where the cheapest electronics are that will be reliable and then they can share the engine, esc, servos and transmitter among several airframes. Thanks for making this stuff available.

  • ey Mikey! are you a muppet or a puppet? whatever you are, you got some good flying and building skills. 5 stars for a great vid. consider me subscribed

  • LOL......I'm a rare breed of "ppupet" I'm a Ruppet......an RC puppet. Bread just for those good flying and designing genes =) Hey thanks for rating and subscribing!

  • Awesome on apocalyptic levels... you have to share the plans for this!!!

  • DEFINITELY. I'm working on them. They are about 60% done.

  • LOL, awsome. 5*

  • I was hoping to see video number 5 of the scratch build of the sport trainer as we never got to see the build finished,i might get the stuff to build it today ;-) i just hope you do post another video of the last part of the build lol,5*

  • Sorry about that as i just watched the first video again of the sport trainer and you do say you don't show the rest of the build like servo placement and a few other bit's but i should be able to work that bit out ;-)

  • There will be a 5th video and possible a 6th.......I don't know why it took me so many videos this time. But everything will be covered. I just have to edit the last vids. =) Might get to it today. Thanks for watching them.

  • Love that foamy man. It looks like it flies well. Where are you getting your foam from?

  • I get the foam from my local craft store. It's 1/4 inch thick.

  • nicely put togather. great jet there mate. would love to hear that thing roaring.

  • Awesome vid 5 stars
