amazing How Time flys again looking at the Dell XPS 700 Desktop, i remember when that system was around $3500 it's probbaly worth nothing now LOL wow even looking at the layout of the shop all those old models made me wonder
That store is totally useless. Wow, you get to take a look at the product, big deal. No inventory? 5-7 days to ship? Way too long, when you can go to a FutureShop or BestBuy and pick up an HP or Toshiba the same friggen day. No wonder that store is friggen empty.
wow.....dell sucks, and the last thing that they need id to waste money on a store that doesn't sell. its looks like an Apple store. and the one thing that everyone hates s waiting!. how can you have a store that doesn't have any products that you can buy right away. 5-7 business days... i dont think so.
I really have to disagree with you. I used a Mac laptop for about 2 months. There was nothing but problems with the usability factor. Video: I couldnt easily put together 2 pieces of media instantly. Appleworks: I couldnt resize a picture, its impossible. Online: 2 pages max, or else you get lag, and ultimately programs just don't work. (Very Frequent Freezing Problem).
WTF! A MAC is even worse. Can you run 2 8800GTX's on a MAC? Can you run custom water-cooling, phase-change units, or even over-clock a Mac like you can on PC? Are there a tons of cases and third-party peripherals for the Mac? The Mac has nowhere near the Games and Apps that's available on the PC. Mac is only good for video and graphic edit, all of which can be done on a PC.
I sure hope this is Dell's effort to improve focus on providing for the consumer, and I hope that the bad PR lately causes them to bring back the solid PC that Dell once was. I was pleased that last time I called in tech support I got someone in Texas or Arizona, US! Maybe they are listening and changing.
My sisters Dell was one of the first Deminsions with Win XP. It NEVER had any problems. I upgraded her RAM and Hard Drive and it served her needs for about 5 years. I got a new XPS 400. It was a lemon. They replaced it with an XPS 410 that is a touchy POS.
why would you want to purchase a computer that might me sitting on the shelf for 4 months and ia outdated, why would you wanna purchase a computer that is loaded with softwares that are no use for you and you're actually paying for these softwares. When you buy from Dell you know u r getting the latest product on the market and they only include the software of your choice.
build your own desktop don't go to this crap it'a all cheap crap really bad crap. there is nothing like building your own desktop pc, it's great and when buying motherboards thay dont' come with stupid manufacturer configurerations if you don't have any knowledge of computers just learn it from books and see how great it is. there is nothing like starting from cpu. and the hard drive, graphics card, and dvd rewriter, and ramdom access memrory and the tower all the other bits to
Looks like a crappy copy of the Apple Stores. I just can't get over not having inventory in the store. Sure everything's built "custom" just for you, but desktops are EASY to upgrade and could be done on the spot, it just seems like they'd have a few configurations to work from... but oh well. also, the guy pretty much pushed people off of the laptop to show it... ya gotta love the customer service there. if i'm in dallas i'm gonna skip this store and goto the apple store.
Your description makes it sound like you can actually buy products at the Dell stores... you can't. Apple Stores, on the other hand, give a unique experience. You can try out anything on display, talk to any employees for help, and actually purchase products on the spot. Do Dell stores offer all that? I didn't think so.

The reason why Dell fails at retail is at around the two-minute mark. "no inventory in here, five to seven business days".
I can't believe how irredeemably stupid some people can be.

This is such a rip off of the Apple Store.
And I love how he talks about coming to the service desk if you have a spyware issue, implying that you will get spyware if you buy a Dell.
For anyone who reads this, please go out and buy a Mac, you will be MUCH happier if you do.

Being a student, I really do not feel like buying a laptop for over $2,000. Buying a 13 is a joke,so a 15 is the next option.

I see you MAC pussies everywhere. But why does DELL have a revenue of $55 Billion and APPLE has a revenue of only $17 Billion?
Are Americans retarded?
