@killer576 thats 90% of the time but in a case like this the car company put halogens in a projector housing. Weird but simple upgrade to HID and projectors will usually handle the HID just fine. i get what you say and all of the other time is the shitty hondas with blue headlights blinging because they use standard halogen housings and have blue light. i think it looks terrible and i want to smash every one with a bat but as of now i just use my high beams
When am say blind peoples am not just thinikg you cant see the road bcause someone in front you use a xenon wihtout projector, or with bad settings! i mean it really can hurt your eye! The factory xenon light have somekind of uv filter int the lighthouse ! When you use xenon without this for a long time you headlight house get darker color thats how dangeoures these lights beam! Just thinking if xenon can do that with plastic, what it dose with people eyes...
Yeah if you use the right headlight house (have filter), set a lamp washer, automatic level system, and maybe use projectors for reduce the size of your lamp brigthness ect..
So the xenon bulb maybe not different, but HID kits not containts what i list here, so you better be think before wirte...
Sorry for disagrre with you, but not! Bcause i sad the light house containts a filter, what reduce the dangoures beam what can hurt you eyes. When am say hurt, or blind is not only mean you cant see the road! It really can hur your eyes!
With a wrong beam settings halogen can hurt too, but when someone use 3-4 times storneg xenon with wrong setting is much worst!
Projector, and automatic levelling system better than nothing, but not same as factory
@killer576 I'm not talking about UV output either. On your first comment you said all hids are blinding to other drivers and all I said was if they are done correctly they wont blind people. Your right about the damaging your skin and eyes part tho, we were just talking about 2 different things
hey kosmas, by xenon kit dou you mean just a change of "bulb" or is it a new projector plus a bulb? what kind of changes do you need to do in order to have xenon lights? any additional electrical parts needed?
you have to install transformers for every bulb , xenon bulbs, wires going to battery etc. It is a complete kit with everything in it.There are many "how to" sites but always be extremely carefull .
The differences betwen a "good" and a "bad" kit are 2. first the transformer is not reliable and it will burn too soon = waste of money, second the light density of the xenon bulbs will degrade and matches the halogen projectors.Buy something reliable even if it is more expensive. Viva El Salvador
@kosmas1974 I also bought hid's for my mazda 3... 6000k 55 watts... although the problem is they are not lighting the road well, uhm i mean they're aimed to low... can you give me some idea how to install them properly so they'd aim correctly just like yours =)
@REVandEVO if you dont have an adjustment button in your car, which controls the level of light ( higher or lower) then the only thing you can do is to find out a special screw in the projector, in order to change the aiming of the whole projector !!!
where do you live in europe? $350 is so much for these lights. they look great though. i have a mazda 6. did you have the H4 bulbs originally? mine are H1. my kit only costed $57.
I live in Greece , one of the most expensive countries in EU. The good thing is that it is Made in Germany and for sure it is more reliable than simmilar items from China. The kit had transformers , H1 bulbs, wires etc to replaced the OEMs
K refers to color. most hids are all about the same in brightness but as you go higher from 4,300K they do dim slightly. 4,300 is yellow white, 5,000 is white. 5,100-10,000 is blue and 12,000-15,000 is purple. i know all about it so ask me if you have any more questions.
@damntheman88 witch K i should get i dont want it to be white but dont want too much blue? i want dat blue that is not too blue lol,and wats the difference bettewen hid vs xenon? hid halogens right? sorry bout dumb question
@jenuelpr okay where we go. 6000K is i think what you are looking for. mine are 8000K and are pretty damn blue. go with 6000K. look online if you like the color. but i'm 95% sure that's what you'll want.
also, HID stands for high intensity discharge. these are xenon lights have NO filament. its like a fluorescent light on like steroids. halogen lights are regular lights like in your house but much more compact and more powerful. they glass in a halogen and anything more powerful than that are
@jenuelpr made of quartz, not glass. this is because the intense heat. if you turn a regular light on for a few seconds and turn it off you can still hold it if you switch hands and hot potato it. but a halogen light gets so damn hot you'd be burnt pretty instantly. halogen lights can be filled with an inert gas like argon. they are almost all argon. some "high performance" halogens will fill them with xenon because it sounds cool but really has no effect. its NOT an HID light. remember hid
cuz i seen the way the turn on slowly to mild to finally full alumination, and i read something bout the bulbs might go off for 3 minutes due to heat or something if this true? like u cant have it on all the time u driving?
@jenuelpr haha no way jose. there are no flaws in HID lights. it's more about whether or not you can get to the housing of the headlight. there are no flaws. but yes they do take about 5 seconds to reach their operating illumination. of and the whole temperature thing, 35W HID lights actually burn cooler than 55W halogen lights. and they 35W HID lights are putting out 3 times the amount of light as the 55W halogens.
@jenuelpr lights have no filament. there may be xenon in the glass but it's still making light based on the filament. if you have anymore questions let me know. i also have a site to get some good HID lights for a really good price. peace.
thanks for all the info bro it really has helped me understanding this light shit lol,if is true that as long u put the HIDs u have too set it up if u want them to turn in low beams or high beams and choosing eithe rone of them will eliminate the remaining one, anyways watever u choose will it iluminate the same thing eather is low or hi beams...and when u flash like to let a pedestrian pass like u in a walmart or something how would the HIDs change will it do it like the original bulbs?

@MrJuice93fucrew Neither one, the number refers to the color temp of the light. The 8000K will be a deeper blue color.
