  • Can you do the same with a namd phenom x4 955/960??

  • I'd wait at least a year or even two for AMD to release newer FX processors. The new architecture just isn't as fine tuned as the Phenom II's and doesn't run as well. once they get the kinks out've the system it'll be badass though.

  • Please help me. I can't decide which processor to buy, and i don't really know too much about computers. I really want to get the AMD FX8120,because of the 8 cores, but i don't know if it's any good or not. I'm also thinkig about the FX-6100 or Phenom II X4 975 and since they're all in pretty much the same price range, i'm really stumped on which one to get. Help pleaseeee :)

  • @RavenCSS ---975 x4 or 1075 x6 ---the best choice aroud overclockers...ok.

  • @RavenCSS FX is not worth shit. Phenom II X4 shits all over FX. FX has nothing on older and better architecture.

  • @Tobiash87 is that why FX is cheaper than a Phenom ll x4?

  • @Tobiash87 FX gets a bad rep because Windows can't take full advantage of it at the moment. Windows 8 is supposed to be FX-aware out of the box and Linux also takes full advantage of it.

  • @MastodonicRobotnik09 The performance difference will be marginal (about 5%) with patched Windows 7 and new Windows 8. That's not helping shit architecture of FX lineup. If they made a 8 deneb cores CPU it would outperform FX 8150 with no problem.

  • @RavenCSS If you want to game -> i7 sandy bridge/ivy bridge or i5

    video editing -> amd 6 core 1055t/1075t/1090t/975
