How would you describe the differences in tone between a LP & an es335? I'm weighing up both. I like the kind of tone when the amp just starts to break up into a growl. Nice guitars!
Very Freddie King if you ask me. Sounds great. You, like me have a few guitars. I own a Fender 91' strat plus, a 04' SG standard ( I dropped in p90's because that 498t 490r set sucked) LOL. And my go to baby is my 08 Les paul Traditional plus. Which is your favorite axe? And why did you buy different guitars? I did because I was tone searching for a long time and I don't want to part with any of them. LOL. My LP does it all. Rock on.
Thanks! I currently own 5 guitars. '98 Les Paul Std, '09 ES-335, '10 Les Paul Special, '03 Telecaster AV52 and '99 Strat CIJ 57RI. Each guitar has its own tone. That's the reason I bought them. I love classic tones, and with this set I think I can get many of them. If I had to choose only one, would be the 335.
@BluesZep Ditto blues zep! They all have their own tone and character. I heard your Les paul. Man, it's a tough choice, but I know why you gave the 335 the edge. They are very versitile. I love the blues, blues rock and classic rock. The acoustical clean of a 335 is sweet. and with overdrive they snarl. The clean of a LP is close. Have you ever played a 339? They rock as well. I guess my LP would win the race for me. Rock on .
Did you record your own backing track, or did you download it from somewhere? If you downloaded it, could you point me in the right direction, please? Sounds great, I have listened to you jam in the past on an Epiphone Sheraton II, and loved the sounds you were getting from that, now I gotta go buy an ES-335?? LOL!! Good excuse as any!
@tadasrudnickas1986 If i showed you I would have to charge you. I'm not saying he's not a good player he has no soul to play the blues. Who bends over you or him?
Hey man! I got a few videos of me jammin if you could check em out and give some feedback that would be cool :) Nice playing, gotta love hollowbodies.
Please advise. I enjoy playing my Guitar at home and was wanting to buy something that can help my solo playing with some back up . Like drums, horns etc. I have seen 1 man bands out at dinner places before and they really sound good with the backup music. It looks like they are using a lap top computer or something. Can you help me make my music sound more like a band. Retired and love playing my Gibson 335. Thanks
Question: How tall are you. That 335 looks small on you.
