In canada its not only firearms, apparently a pellet gun that shoots over 450fpm is considered a firearm too!! I did not know that about canada until I was looking into buying a big bore air rifle from wackenbush, they make BIG air rifles that can kill a bear, bison, deer, wild boar ect. but its not a firearm, just a big air rifle, in canada I bet they have to be registered too! since they consider anything over 450fpm a firearm, so i guess a daisy bb gun is a FIREARM IN CANADA, CANADA IS SCREWY
These leftist will not stop until they deprive all law abiding citizens access their firearms. Gun control efforts always benefits the criminals, as it has nothing to do with crime control. Canada needs to follow the American people in fighting any and all gun control efforts, you need a NRA. Katie, you do good work and thank you for assembling these stories and facts!
So basically they (the government) spent a lot of your (the taxpayer) money just to say “we were right” and then gave him what he wanted (which I’m sure he had to pay for)? Yup sounds like government SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to me
You guys have it kind of rough in Canada. I moved from Illinois to Florida so I could carry to protect myself and my property. here in Florida they have laws even to make it so you cannot get fired for bringing your gun to work with you, and you don't have to flee your house if someone breaks in. I applaud your good work even though i dont live in Canada Good luck

They gave him back the guns because he was not a threat to public safety, and he'd already been deprived of them for over three years due to the court proceedings, amounting to a three-year firearms prohibition. The judge that found him not guilty in the original trial felt that was punishment enough.
Jane Gaffin's book delves into all the details. If you go to diarmani(dot)com and look for the link to order her book, I think it's only $5.
They keep trying to make new gun laws to "protect" us and will not be happy until they strip us of our rights, one piece at a time. How long before the next Ruby Ridge, bets anyone?
Wow, I'm surprised that after all that he got his guns back. You'd think that if the government was that desperate to make an example of him they would have kept his firearms too. What a miscarriage of justice and a waste of the taxpayers money. That's what happens when government is accountable to no one.

wtf would he protect himself from? good luck taking down a bear or a moose with a fucking pistol. You need a fucking hunting rifle to kill a bear and even that is done down wind from a safe distance and if you miss the kill shot you can bet that bear is gonna chase after you and you won't stand a chance if you don't have a car or a lot of luck. Moose are pretty sturdy animals too so what good would a fucking pistol do him? maybe a wolf but they hunt in packs so he's probably screwed anyway.
You don't sound like a gun owner, so you'll never understand. In any wilderness, there is more to fear than four legged predators. The law can be hundreds of miles away. And there is only you and the two legged predators. You're only defence is your pistol.
And BTW, no one will shoot a bear with a pistol. That's why you carry a shotgun.
Are you a complete moron. Have you every spent time in Alaska, or Canada. Even when you fish, you carry at least a .40 cal. Don't talk about shit you know nothing about.
Another great video Katey! Hopefully we're able to relax the rules a bit and allow properly trained and licensed citizens to have carry permits as well!
Not with the current mentality in Ottawa, no! They can't even gather themselves to fire Jennifer Lynch, and actually want to be able to snoop on our conversations w/o warrant (bill C-47). I am not holding my breath re conservatives in the office. They have done exactly zero for the gun owners and don't mention amnesty - it does too little for too few.
Government is always, without exception, the enemy of the people. Even those politicians who want to serve the people will end up serving the apparatus of the state. Government's main goal is it's own self perpetuation.
I have been a huge fan of you and your dad's videos ever since I discovered them on youtube and am a proud subscriber. Again, you have done a fine job. I live in New Orleans, Louisiana and I'm an ex-policeman and currently a concealed carry permit instructor. I feel that you all are doing a fantastic job at educating people on the common sense right to gun ownership and the insanity of liberal idiots trying to destroy that right. Poor Mr. Carlos... Learn from what happened to him and fight back!
The point: To make everyone else piss themselves the next time they show up like how the BATFE tries to do here in the USA. Along with the FBI, Attorney Generals office, etc. They want ABSOLUTE fear just like how the waffen SS did in nazi germany. They are no different.
shananagans5 has it right, moreover it is a war on consciousness. Crafting and manipulating the populace with hyped up news propaganda, and some argue tht MK-Ultra 'Manchurian Candidates' are ritualistically used to sway popular opinion.
Wow. Do news media outlets (papers, TV, or radio) Carrie stories like this in Canada? What are you taking in collage that will set you on a coarse to change Canadian laws? Meaning are you going to be a lobbyist to stop these actions? Keep making these great vids. Cheers, Highice007
Thank God and our Founding Fathers that in the U.S. (in particular Washington) we don't need the government's permission to carry a firearm. Mr. Carlos shouldn't need to have a permit to carry for self protection.
well... most places in America you can carry a firearm in the open. But even so you're going to be stopped and questioned by the law, no doubt about that. You do however need a concealed carry permit to carry concealed of course. Obama seems too busy right now to go after firearms with his buddy Eric Holder. Things could change though... even though i believe it would be political suicide if Obama went after the 2nd amendment.
That's one reason I enjoy living in Washington. I open carry all over and have only been questioned by regular people a couple times. Once I explained the laws to them, they were cool. I've not been bothered by the cops, yet. But I do know some people here who have in certain towns.
When Obama manages to destroy our rights to keep and bear arms, it won't just be political suicide, it could end his life and start war in this country.
The first shots at Lexington and Concord that launched the shooting in our revolt against England was because the King's troops were going after the powder and guns stored in the militia powder houses.
I don't care what anyone says about here in the US- I'm just glad this type of stuff usually doesn't happen here ( for firearms-related reasons I mean .) and if I want a carry permit I get one - Hopefully the Canadian government will get better one day .
Keep fighting for your rights . your doing great .
Actually it does, but on a much worse scale. Homes have been raided many times in California and other states to take peoples legally owned firearms. Most notably in Louisiana and Mississippi after hurricane Katrina and most recently in Huston TX. The ATF or other government thugs raid homes of law abiding citizens without warrant or probable cause then trump up charges afterword. Usually the people are released, but never get their guns back.
I'm wondering, what if local Texas police would come to protect that person from being run over by ATF? Aren't they suppose to protect people from illegal searches and other Federal fun?
Why local Sheriffs never stop FTA from doing whatever they want? What are they afraid of?
You know, I think some people just have this fear and hate of firearms. I think this allows them to justify anything in their own mind. Wheather it is making people jump through hoops to get one or even not allowing someone to have one even tho they need it for protection. Good Luck Katey!!! Keep it up!!! Ms. Shannon
