You should use OTS, over the shoulder camera view, because it provides most realistic and interesting look into the game. Besides, the game itself has been largely desined to be played with OTS camera.

Actually, no. The Witcher consists of great gameplay and combat with an awesome storyline. And then of course the graphics make this worth giving a try. Only thing I had to get used to were the controls for the game, but all in all, definitely worth giving a shot! :)
