  • What is the name of this tune? I wonder if there are tabs available (or do I have to do it the hard way). Groundhogpeggy has a tune on here called "Piney Woods". It's different from any other version I've heard (what's new?) and real moody. Give her a visit. You can see right away she's an admirer of Dwight Diller!

  • Wow, you are awesome! I like this one even more than the Sadie one you did!

  • Great Job!!! Nice.

  • I have been enjoying several of your videos...GREAT SOUNDS! I have been playing Mandolin for some time and have bought a Washburn Banjo...it's real Purty, ..Think I have been a little intimidated by it, biu Claw hammer style seems to come naturally .I am of Scottish Decent...I recommend the movie "Song Catcher" to get a handle on the music brought to the Appalacians from the Scot/Irish Immigrants...you will love it...

  • @belindamandolina Hi There. Thanks for the comment. Yes. Song Catcher is a great movie. Pretty inspirational for me when I first started. Best of luck with your pickin'. Liam

  • "Winter's Bone"

  • @clayhorsemusic YES!!! Awesome movie. Exactly the kind of mood I was trying to create. Thanks.

  • @spinzorelli Well, you nailed it. Could have been part of the soundtrack!

  • hi, is that triple C tuning a sort of C mountain minor ? haunted tunes, they live in the heart of mountains. dan

  • That was awesome!

  • I feel like dancing!

  • Interesting sound, indeed. As my everyday banjo stays tuned in Double D, I'll drop my first string to D and experiment. Kudos to you and our BanjoHangout friend R.D. L.

  • hello, i love this clip, would you be willing and able to send me tabs for this tune? its amazing. THANKS!

  • Excellent tune, really haunting stuff, and superbly played. What an excellent sound you're getting from your banjo! I've ordered an RD Lunceford CD/Book, so hopefully I can learn some of his arrangements.

    Cracking video too!!

  • @scanbran I got RD Lunceford's 'Drop Thumb' book/CD and have now realised this tune is on his 'Cotton Blossom' set! D'oh! I'll need to get that now to learnt his great tune...

  • I really the video effects you used, but obviously the playing is quite nice. You really got that chugga chugga down. That's Rounds Peak style, no?

  • Great old tune, well done!

  • great stuff brother

  • Thanks Guys...had fun making this one.

  • This is amazing! I loved watching it!
