  • Peter is salty water effect The kidney?

  • Fun movie clip... I have been applying DietOramy excess fat reduction plan plan (stumbled upon it on google) for a while now and my personal returns ended up incredible - I reduced 9 percent of my total extra fat within the first stage

  • I have had continuus "urgent eliminations" since the first salt water flush. The eliminations have been "clear" since the third movement. Needless to say, I have not continued either the senna tea or the salt water flush. I am on day 5 now, and was vegan before starting the cleanse. Should I stop?

  • Do you mind please tell me the name of the salt .

  • I think I do it correct now, its really working on me.. I feel great after blow up. thanks peter

  • I just did my first flush, it was really hard! I even had a gag reflex at the last drop! Things you gotta do to clean your body ha! Thank you Peter for your videos ;)

  • I have seen people package the sea salt in capsules to be able to tolerate the flush. Will this work? And, if you don't end up eliminating after the flush (for whatever reasons), does the salt stay & then get absorbed? Thanks!

  • @tomatina1974 Is there an answer for this?

  • hi petter ,today is my day 7 and i feel great.my problem is i could not find laxative tea here.im based in HK.

is it ok if i dont drink tea or should i drink any kind of herbal tea?

    thx a lot

  • Hi Peter I did the tea friday and Saturday morning i did 22 oz with 2 tsp and nothing it did not work for me why is that?

  • @Ck1299 drinking a little apple cider vinegar every day is a good general health practice, but don't combine it with the Master Cleanse. Do the Master Cleanse as written and then go back to your apple cider vinegar.

  • I work nights so how could that work?

  • @kgrady76 To adjust to working in the night, drink the salt water when you get up, lemonade while you're awake and laxative just before bed.

  • @kgrady76 To adjust to working in the night, drink the salt water when you get up, lemonade while you're awake and laxative just before bed.

  • Hi there I'm starting my MC on Saturday, when do I start the Salt water flush? Should I do it first thing on Saturday then start my MC or wait a day being on the MC and then start it on Sunday morning? Also should I do the SWF every day?

  • @PetaloudaG Friday night drink the lax tea before going to bed. Saturday morning drink the salt water flush on arising. Then drink a cup of lax tea every evening before bed and drink the salt water flush every morning on arising. If for some reason, you can't do the salt water flush (you have an appointment and can't wait the 2 hours to be sure you won't have to go to the bathroom urgently) drink a cup of lax tea instead that morning.

  • This is something new to me. Great information about saltwater.

  • hey peter am I to use tap water or mineral water??? thnx

  • @kukpa22 Use purified, distilled or spring water.

  • I'm starting it tomorrow!

  • thanks

  • I am doing first day of SWF as a daily part of the 10-day MC. I took the salt water and I felt little gurgles in there but nothing came out at all so far and it's been 6 hours now. I fart a lot now though (!) Guess I will have to wait more than other people till the next SWF. WEIRD.

  • @LilasRose1973 Linkdead14 was quite correct in her reply to you.

  • @LilasRose1973 You might try increasing slightly the amount of sea salt.

  • @LilasRose1973 Farting on any cleanse is something that occasionally happens. It's a good sign and shows waste is being eliminated. If nothing else occurs from the SWF, try increasing the amount of salt.

  • The entire point of this is to create a solution that the body doesn't absorb. Because it isn't absorbed it just rushes through the stomach, intestines, and out the back door carrying solid waste that has possibly been stuck in your body for years. Through osmosis, if you have too much salt, you will dehydrate your body. If you have too little salt then your body will absorb the water and you won't have a bowel movement. Finding the proper proportion of salt to water is key here.

  • @linkdead14 thanks for your reply. it makes so much more sense now!

  • I just did this, 2 teaspoons of natural sea salt and 1000mls (approx 1 quart) of lukewarm water. After 25 mins of really forcing myself to keep it down, I couldn't go any longer and had to run to the toilet to throw up... Is this normal?

  • @jdt3000 It is not normal, but it's not unheard of. Some people have that reaction because they are badly plugged up with mucus. You might try switching to another cup of lax tea in the morning until later in the cleanse. It is easier to do the salt water flush later in the cleanse and on later cleanses.

  • @jdt3000 make sure you use non iodide sea salt

  • Do you have to drink this whole day without eating food?

  • @Nahsuirah007 Yes. I suggest you read my book, "Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days". It sounds like there's a lot you don't know and the Master Cleanse isn't about will power. It's about knowledge.

  • Ohhh my Lord u know what I did??? Bad girl, bad girl... Stupid me I put 2 table spoons in a quart of warm water instead of 2 tea spoons! Geezzz I drank half trying to fight as hell not to throw up and 15 minutes after went every 10 minutes to the bathroom for an hour the last 4 times was like water running out and nothing left. I did not understand how people could easily drink this but when I realized it was only 2 tea spoons no wonder yikes! Sounds better and I can drink it easy too.

  • i tried this, drank 2 cups with 1 teaspoon per cup. I was skeptical at first, but then this 'urgent elimination' came..explosive dhiarrea that seemed never ending, this really works

  • @wsrhw

Actually I find it too much water as well a whole quart so I put 2 tea spoons in 2 cups of water and I can drink easily and it's really efficient, even more for me. But I'm asking myself if even for 10 days can it harm in any way if we put the salt in 2 cups instead of a quart, I suppose there is a good reason why they say in a quart.

  • You are all invited to my free webinar on Anti-Aging, scientific support for the Master Cleanse and Alternative Medicine. February 1, 9 pm Eastern Time at globalteleclass (dot) com. Click on Free Teleclasses and then Health.

  • Hi, I have some questions to ask you: 1-What is the format of the Master Cleanse eBook; “.pdf?” 2-If so, is the pdf file “searchable”? 3-It is printable? 4-Does it have an “expiration date”? (You will be surprised that lots of eBooks expires after 30 days and up to a maximum of one year. If you want to read it after that time you have to purchase it again. IT SUCKS- I just hope is not you case! 5-Is the Journal under the same four (4) categories of above?

    Thanks a Lot!

  • @CantFndaName It is a searchable, printable ebook with no expiration date. So is the Journal. I tried the ones that were "protected" and they were a nightmare of customer support as well as being unsatisfying for my readers.

  • I have a question because I dont know what I did wrong, I tried 1 liter of water + 2 tbspoons of sea salt, after 2 minutes i threw up and was dehydrated, since it is an hypertonic solution i didnit absorb it, and I know it is not dangerous, what maybe the quantity of salt was wrong? I really want it to work

  • @harajukumoon Sounds like it did work. Sometimes it causes people to vomit. They usually have much mucus when this happens. Later in the cleanse or on later cleanses it is usually much easier...no vomiting either.

  • @harajukumoon

Yeah the proportions were way off. Only supposed to be 2 Teaspoons, not tablespoons. And Gradually increasing that to about a tablespoon should do the trick

  • I too want to confirm that the SWF can be done at night. I did my 2nd one tonight. The first one, yesterday, had solid results however this one had the type of "urgent" results you describe. I leave home at 630am so i drink the lax tea at around 2pm and when i get in from the gym at 7 - 7:30 i do the SWF. Will switching up the time of things affect my results. I feel great.

  • @kayserena I'm glad you feel great. Most people get the best results from following the cleanse as developed by Stanley Buroughs.

  • I have one question can you do the sea salt water at night and the laxztive in the morning instead it would be much more convienient if this were true?

  • @creeperdude1 Doing the salt water after you've eaten or drunk anything but water usually makes people nauseous.

  • @BayAreaBallerz21 The body burns muscle for energy for day 2 and sometimes 3. After that, the body burns fat and waste. You can test that with a keytone stick bought at any drug store. Fasting has been a part of health care for thousands of years. "Fasting, the Ultimate Diet" by Alan Cott, MD (published in 1976 & available at Amazon), has 329 references to fasting as beneficial for health, 158 are scientific journals. On the cover is a positive quote from the New England Journal of Medicine.

  • @Arlenienj If you get several urgent eliminations, don't worry. Work up to the full quart gradually. If you don't get several eliminations, drink a cup of lax tea in the morning instead.

  • Is this cleanse a problem for those with high blood pressure or glucose intolerance issues ??

  • @jb6591 water fasting has been shown in a scientific study to lower blood pressure. People doing the cleanse who are on blood pressure medication should liaise with their doctor because they frequently need to reduce or eliminate their dose.

Some diabetics do very well on the maple syrup recipe [See the testimonials at TheRawFoodSite (dot) com (slash) feedback (dot) htm.] Some don't. Burroughs has a specific recipe for diabetics who want to do the Master Cleanse for those who are worried.

  • @jb6591 As a nurse, Im gonna tell you....fasting with glucose issues can lead to drastic glucose changes....and you need to be monitored to avoid permanent damage....syrup isnt the issue...mostly...but lack of carbs will be...as far as blood pressure,"I believe" you'll be fine...in other words, ask your doctor if you're a diabetic( tell him its religious if he's biased).

  • @jb6591 Fasting (the MC is a juice fast) is known to lower blood pressure and there are some recent scientific articles on that (See my new 3rd edition for them). So, someone on meds for that needs to do the MC in liaison with a licensed health care practitioner who can adjust dosage. Glucose intolerance is usually not an issue, but there is another recipe for diabetics. It's also in the book.

  • but you could just use table salt right??

  • @MsDavoice1 Do NOT use table salt! 1. It is harder to get down than sea salt. 2. It doesn't have the 60 or 70 other minerals that sea salt has.

  • Heya...I am on day 5 of the Master's cleanse and I have done the SWF three of the days (had to go to work early one of the days)...I drink Yogi Get Regular Laxative tea at night before bed and upon waking take in 32oz of sea-salt water. To make it a little more tolerable I find adding 1tsp lime juice to get it down. Is this ok? I have had several eliminations after 2hours of drinking the flush and as u said it does last b/t 30-45 min.

  • @DuchessCocoShanelle Yes, that's fine.

  • The Salt Water Flush has way too much sodium it's over twice the recommended daily sodium intake. And if u do it every morning of the Master Cleanse day for even 10 days it's dangerous for your electrolyte balance and this is dangerous. People should be aware of of this cuz not everyone can do it for their health and while doing the 10 day Master Cleanse we have to be on vitamins and even then some people feel too weak and cannot do it I know someone who went to hospital after 6 days.

  • @LilasRose1973 1) If the salt to water proportion is correct, it races thru the body & the blood can't absorb the salt. 10,000's of successful people are clear proof it is not dangerous. 2. You are correct. Not everyone can or should do the Master Cleanse. People who want, should try it. The majority succeed. The others quit before anything serious happens. 3. Vitamins, unless prescribed, should not be taken. 4. Whoever went to the hospital probably didn't follow directions. Let them post here.

  • I did the master cleanse just finished 2 days ago, now eating the vegetabke soup but not just the broth also the veggies that is bad?? and btw I feel so much better lost 7 kilos and really really so happy Im gonna do it again..how long should I wait for my next one>? thanx before hand!1

  • @Neshdahe Glad to hear your cleanse went so well. No, eating the veggies isn't bad for you on the second day if you didn't get a reaction. You should take a box or bottle of probiotics as soon as you return to eating solid food. The longer your cleanse, the more strict you have to be on coming off it. If you did 25 or more days you should be very strict on the rules for coming back to solid food.

  • Hi Peter! So I just started the master cleanse and I am unable to hold down the salt water. I keep throwing it back up. I know you said we are able to drink another tea in the morning instead but I was wondering if I will still get the same results as if I was drinking the salt water flush? Please help!! Thanks!

  • @83princessbis It is slightly better to do the salt water flush, but if you can't just do the second cup of lax tea in the morning. Later in the cleanse (day 8?) or on later cleanses it will be easier to do the salt water flush.

  • can this really be dangerous?

  • @JenniferSmith21R It hasn't been to any of the thousands I've heard from over the last 7 years.

  • so what is the proportion of salt to water?

  • @mettabee two teaspoons to 32 oz of water. If that doesn't cause urgent eliminations within an hour, try increasing the salt next time.

  • Peter, I was also wondering if it is normal to feel a bit nauseous and dizzy while doing the salt water flush?

  • @Caitobot No it is not normal to feel nauseous and dizzy doing the salt water flush. That only happens if you don't follow directions to do the salt water flush in the am or first thing when you get up if you work during the night.

  • I do the salt water flush at night since I'm not a morning person, and take the laxative tea in the morning.

  • Mr. Peter, I want to thank you in advance. Today will be my second day and I was wondering if it would possible to work out while the use of this diet.

  • @LOUDLOVE You can do aerobic exercise: walking, jogging, swimming, etc., but not weight lifting.

  • can you do a video on the laxative tea portion? especially what someone should be prepared for on this and the SFW. how do people who need to work/go to school deal with the effects with out... incident.

  • @nybeath There is a Master Cleanse minute on the salt water flush on my channel.

  • i'm on Synthroid and Strattera for ADHD...will i have any problems doing this cleanse?

  • @Deofabulicious I can't answer for you specifically as only your doctor can answer that, but I can tell you that I have not heard of anyone having trouble with medications while on the Master Cleanse. Although, some medicines require food be taken as well and obviously those medications aren't compatible with a fast.

  • Hi Peter! so I am starting the master cleanse and am a little confused. Are you suppose to do the salt water flush daily and only once and drink the mast lemonade cleanse between 6-12 times a day? I just want to make sure I am following the cleanse as it should be followed

  • @chicagyrl4801 drink the salt water flush each day you are on the cleanse first thing in the morning. If for some reason you can't drink the salt water (including if you don't have 2 hours before leaving the house) substitute another cup of lax tea that morning.

  • @PeterGlickman you have to do this everyday for it to work? i just want to do it for 1 day. maybe once a month. will that work?

  • @chicagyrl4801 You do the salt water flush every morning and if you can't, drink another cup of laxative tea in the morning instead. Yes, drink 6-12 10 oz. drinks per day.

  • ive been on cleanse 4 two days do you have to drink the salt water or can you skip it

  • @cicatraz You must not entirely skip the elimination actions (lax tea and salt water flush) or the toxins you mobilize will build up and you'll feel bad. Substitute another cup of laxative tea in the morning in place of the salt water flush. Then try the salt water flush after 8 or 9 days as it gets easier to do as your body gets cleaner.

  • this is day two for me an i've tried the salt water flush but i cant seem to keep it down. i have ended up throwing it back up, the most i've been able to keep down is 8 oz an it works the same. what do i do?

  • @bookiebabi09 Substitute another cup of laxative tea in the morning in place of the salt water flush. Then try the salt water flush after 8 or 9 days as it gets easier to do as your body gets cleaner.

  • @bookiebabi09 Brush your teeth beforehand, use a fair amount of minty toothpaste then drink the saltwater right after whilst your mouth is still tingling and will taste nothing :) You're welcome

  • I really want to try this cleanse but need some clarification first.

I understand that it can be challenging for your body without protein and will therefore like to know whether shorter periods are more suitable for people who:

    - are vegetarian,

    - eat only fish and or plant protein or

    - generally eat small portions versus overeating, let alone overeating protein.

Should such people reduce the number of lemonade diet days?

  • @ZawadiSimone The benefit comes from doing 10 days minimum. There is no problem going without any protein for a month or more in almost any case. Exceptions being recovering from surgery or a major operation or wound.

  • hey im starting this diet today but i am not sure if i NEED to do the laxative tea? I live in France and it's hard to find certain products sometimes! i have no problem doing the salt water flush, should i do this in the morning AND evening? thank you!

  • @briliantbruneto8 Do not do the salt water flush in the evening, only in the morning. Look for any tea that has senna root in it or cascara sagrada.

  • I pound it down...takes me about 45 seconds.

  • Thanks again. However, I have some more questions:

Can I exercise during the liquid diet?

Is maple syrup absolutely necessary for some purpose other than taste?

Can I use lemons and limes interchangeably?

  • @ZawadiSimone You can run, jog, bike, etc. but do not do any muscle building while on the Master Cleanse. There is no protein and while that is not a problem for a month or so, it will prevent any muscle or body building.

  • I used Himalayan pink salt crystals, which is not sea salt and it does the job, but is sea salt better? I made the mistake of buying this one, thought it was pink sea salt, lol

  • @Jeremydavid83 Himalayan salt is described as fossilized sea salt, which contains all the elements of the sea. It should be just fine.

  • i literaly just did it right now gulping it down through a straw and almost through up. am i dirinking it to quickly?

  • @MyMusic411 No.

  • @notmyeverything Ahhhh...Think of the great stories you can tell :)

  • do you need to drink the whole quart of the salt water? I have no idea how someone can finish all of that within 15 minutes without becoming sick.

  • @bringdawhl Just drink it as fast as you can if you need to take more than 15 minutes, do it. You'll know you get it right when you have several urgent eliminations within an hour of drinking it.

  • what should i get to start this cleanse and how much salt should i use. I'm also breast feeding and what is MC? Thanx for the advice.

  • Thanks for replying...I also wanted to know what if i use Organic maple syrup grade A? Is it still safe? I know Im suppose to use grade B but in the area where i live its impossible to find.

  • @glamouresqtv Any grade is acceptable, but the darker ones are preferred. You can order some from the web store at TheRawFoodSite (dot) com (slash) store.

  • Hello,

    Thanks for sharing.

Is it true that while the cleanse is very effective for removing bad bacteria, it also removes the good bacteria? If this is true, please give some instructions about replacing the good bacteria.

    Thanks in advance.

  • @ZawadiSimone I began recommending taking a box or bottle of probiotics according to the directions on the box or bottle right after a person returns to solid food to replace the good bacteria when I saw that it turned off some cravings I had after my third or fourth cleanse.

  • Salt Water is dangerous to health, blood pressure, stroke, or heart attack; or vision and nerve damage.

  • @saintveil Table salt is that dangerous in large quantities. However, when you get the amount of salt correct, the specific gravity of the salt water equals that of the blood and the salt is not picked up by the blood and the water is not picked up by the kidneys, which is what allows it to flush through the body.

  • Magnesium is much safer, IMO...

  • Please tell me, is this possible to do when nursing my 1 year old? I'd love to know as I'm starting tomorrow! Thanks, Alida w5

  • @alidaw4 Nursing women are generally urged to seek advise from their licensed health care practitioner to be safe. I did get an email from a midwife who said in her 20+ years of recommending the MC to her pregnant and nursing women, she never had any problems. So, you'll have to use your own good judgement on that.

  • Be very careful with the ratio! If it doesn't work for you - massively increase the salt content. My body ABSORBED all of the salt of the prescribed formula because I have a high tolerance for everything. I also tripled the cayenne amount because I spend a lot of time in southeast asia and the recipe is for people who eat very mild american diets.

  • hi, i am a girl from Norway and is on day one. I have ordered the book, but have not received it yet. So I wonder if I should drink Salt Water Flush everyday before I eat in the morning? And drinking laxatives at night?

  • @ragghy Drink the swf every morning. Allow 2 hours from drinking it before leaving the house. If you can't for some reason drink the swf, drink another cup of lax tea in the morning in addition to the cup of lax tea every night.

  • and do i have to do the saltwater flush?

  • @chrm09 Yes or drink another cup of lax tea in the am.

  • is it ok to use organic honey instead of the maple syrup?

  • @chrm09 Absolutely not! Someone from another country did that & his teeth loosened! Stanley Burroughs, the developer of the MC, says don't do it & so do I. Maple syrup has 12 times the calcium of honey. Calcium is used by the body to neutralize acid toxins. If there are not sufficient mineral reserves or it's not supplied in the diet, the body will take it from the bones and teeth. That's why we have an epidemic of osteoporosis. Lack of calcium from greens and too much sugar=acid diet.

  • The salt water flush stinks it does not work I increased it by so much each time each time And do I have to take the herbal laxative tea? at night or can I do the salt-water flush at night . and insted of taking the sea salt the the morning can I take it at 3:pm? and can teens at the age of 13 do this diet?

  • @iceskater204498 Believe me, when you get the salt right in the swf it works! If you haven't been able to get it to work, it may be that your previous diet was heavily meat and cheese. It sometimes takes a few days. You can substitute another cup of lax tea in the am for the swf. Do not do the swf after you have eaten anything or drunk any lemonade that day.

  • @iceskater204498 Children who are still growing should not do the cleanse unless they have asthma or something similar. The 2000 Fasting Conference of Buryatia Russia contains scientific papers recommending fasting (MC is a juice fast) for asthma, high blood pressure and several other conditions. There is no protein on the cleanse to supply muscle growth. It's fine for adults. See "Fasting, The Ultimate Diet" by Allan Cott, MD for more on that point. It's on Amazon.

  • IM ON MY DAY 4

i havent done the salt water flush does this menas that im doing it all wrong i just dont know were to get the salt from i dont want to use any salt

i live in the U.K anyone knows were can i get it from the laxative tea is not helping :(

  • @tigerfur11 We Americans have to import sea salt in most cases. So, I should think gourmet shops in the UK should stock it. And yes you should do the swf every morning or drink another cup of lax tea in the am.

  • Do I have to be on the master cleanse to do the salt water flush? Or can I just do the SWF even though I'm not doing the cleanse?

  • @FishermansDick You can do the swf without being on the MC. Just be sure you do it on an empty stomach. If not it can make you quite nauseated.

  • I have to say I'm currently doing the master cleanse (not my first time) and i gotta say the hardest part for me is the salt water flush.....everything else is great until i know i have to drink the salt water....i cringe just thinking about it lol ...any suggestions on making this more pleasant?

  • @glamouresqtv 1) Drink it as rapidly as possible. 2) Count the swallows to get your mind off the taste. 3) Use a straw. 4) substitute another cup of lax tea in the am. 5) It gets easier the more you do the cleanse. Apparently, the salt reacts with the mucus in the body. So, as the body gets cleaner, the salt water is easier to drink.

  • Hi, I have a question about the salt, I heard that sea salt has mercury in it, will Himalayan salt work just as well? I have Solé (Hym. salt brine) will that work as well? Thanks.

  • @2008Raw2008 I don't know about other sea salts, but Celtic Sea Salt, which is what I include in my ingredients kit is laboratory tested and contains no mercury. That said, any salt that is from the sea current or ancient will work as long as it hasn't been processed.

  • @5708758 1) No food 2) herbal lax tea every night, 3) No, 4) No, U can drink lax tea also in the am. Must be sea salt not table salt, 5) 10 days. Buy book by P. Glickman

  • what types of teas are laxative teas?

  • @finallyfoundaname01 teas with senna or cascara segrada. Smooth Move or Get Regular for two.

  • @finallyfoundaname01 Those with senna leaf or cascara segrada.

  • i think your very informative and wouldn't listen to any of these people trying to put you down. they clearly have not read the book or taken any time to research this detox. thank you for all of your answers and knowledge about this program. i'm only on day 2 of my detox, but have the answers FROM YOU that i needed. thanks and keep it up. :)

  • can anyone give a name of sea salt they've used please? thanks.

  • @QGprincess Celtic Sea Salt, coarse light grey 12 pound. It can be found in any health food store.

  • am i using the wrong salt or too little or too much salt? because it didnt work for me :(

  • I started the diet two days ago and the salt water flush didn't work for me, I did go to the bathroom one time during that one hour I was very hungry and had my lemonade soon I don't know if it was too soon. I prefer taking the tea. But the salt water is just sooo soo salty! I could not possible add more!! I felt I was about to die!! so aweful! I added two teaspoons to a quart of warm water, and it just didn't work. :(

  • Your right. I haven't changed anything from Stanley Burroughs' Master Cleanse. It's great as is. I wrote my book because his doesn't have anything in it about detox symptoms, what they are, when to expect them, what to do about them, what they mean, answers to the 69 most commonly asked questions nor an alphabetic table of contents so people can easily find answers to their questions. If you read my book, you'd know it starts with a dedication to Stanley Burroughs for developing the MC.

  • No diet is worth vomitting and taking laxatives.

I just got out of the hospital and was on a liquid diet. I was very carefully monitored and had constant fluids being flushed into my body.

This man isn't even a DOCTOR!

After being on my restrictive liquid diet, that was very carefully monitored, I would Never do this to my body!

    This is just foolishness.

  • Being on a restricted liquid diet is no more like doing the Master Cleanse than driving a go cart is like driving a Rolls Royce.

  • There is absolutely no more info here than what you can read anywhere else.

What about massaging the intestines after the flush?

What about laying on your right side?

What about when to do the flush? Day one? NO

  • Where do you get your protein from?

  • Contrary to what most people think, you can live without protein for several weeks with no ill effect. Fasting (no protein there) has been used to heal and rejuvenate the body for thousands of years. In fact there is a strong Christian tradition of fasting.

  • PeterGlickman, I understand not having protein wont kill you imidiatly, but what is the effect to your muscles? How much muscles do you lose? People might think they're lossing fat, but they re only losing water and muscle, both which is very important to keep. lol not lose.

  • @Jahkillian your bidy burns fat first when your not consumming any and then moves on to muscle... so i dont think 10days of no protien will affect your muscle mass as you believe it would

  • @mrspresident25 What science book are you reading? Your body actual stores the fat. Your metabolism slows down. The amount of muscle you lose will take about a year to get back. The fat will come back in a week.

  • @Jahkillian you need to read ya book again... your body burns fat before muscle

  • Can I take some vitamins with this diet? Can i work out and still do this? (probably not since my muscles arnt getting the protien they need huh?)

  • @PeterGlickman peter im planning on starting this tomorrow to really clear me out - for how many days should i do this for - and when am i allowed to eat after taking the sea salt? should this be done right out of bed in the morning?

    thanks for your help

  • Can the salt water flush make you vomit?

  • Apparently some people naturally puke when they try to drink it, but it doesn't happen with everyone.

  • I have used the salt flush on and off for the last two years and have always had great results.

I find that it works better if you lie on your right side for 30 minutes after drinking the salt water to allow it to exit the stomach immediately.

Good luck to all who try the SWF, it brings great relief.

  • Ya know, there really seems to be a ton of repeated questions here... Doesn't anyone just stop and read these comments first? If you do, most of the answers are already posted because someone else has already asked the same question! The poor Mr. Glickman has to keep repeating himself to you guys. He must have the patience of an angel. Really - GO OUT AND GET HIS BOOK.. OR BUY HIS AUDIO INSTRUCTIONS! Day one of my second cleanse and I'm exited!

  • Thank you, Dana. It's true that there is a lot of repetition in the questions. Fortunately, there is a lot of satisfaction in see people's results and benefits, too.

It is easier to learn what to do from a book because the author can choose what to tell you first, second, etc. When you're trying to research it all on the web, it takes more reading and searching and sorting through.

  • @PeterGlickman also, the new Youtube format is all scrambly, not in chronological order.

  • Can you just do the tea?? I have a huge fear of drinking the SW :(

  • If, for any reason you cannot do the salt water, you may do a second cup of laxative tea in the morning. For your info, only about 25% of people have trouble with the salt water flush. And it gets easier as the cleanse goes along. The largest reactions are when people have the most mucus built up. After they've eliminated some, it's much easier. So, even if you choose to do only the tea, try the salt water after a week or so.

  • I started the Master Cleanse today and I started my day off with a Salt Water Flush, I used 32 oz. water with 2 tsp. of un-iodized sea salt and it did not work. So now I am scared to drink the lemonade because the instructions say to wait until after you eliminate the salt water before you drink the lemonade. So I have been drnking water all day still waiting to eliminate this sea salt, I'm alittle freaked because I have read that the salt can be harmful maybe even fatal. What do I do?

  • It's not uncommon for it to take 2 or even 3 days before the salt water flush works. This is especially true for people who have eaten lots of meat and dairy as these tend to plug people up.

You do not have to wait until you've eliminated the salt water before drinking the lemonade. Just wait 30 minutes.

And don't worry. Sea salt is not fatal.

  • Cheer up. It gets easier as the cleanse goes along and easier with each later cleanse. Vomiting is unusual, but not unheard of, but generally only happens when a person has lots of mucus and toxins.

  • i have a question can i do the sea salt flush in the morning of my first day? i know my stomach is loaded with food from last night.

so can i do it today that is my first day?? will it work... because i try it long time ago and i trough upp so please tell me when can i start taking it????

  • You start the salt water flush the first morning and do it each morning until you are transitioning to your regular diet.

  • what is the ratio and how often!!!! PLEASE

  • drink it once. preferably early in the morning about 2 hours b4 u have 2 leave the house. the night b4 u have 2 drink the laxative tea or smooth move - no sugar, so the next am u drink the salt water. 32 oz of filter water or I boil my water & place 1 teaspoon of sea salt. shake it up & drink it straight w/n the next 5 min's. then w/n the next 20-30 mins u will hav 2 use the bathroom & thereafter 4 the next hr or so. gl. i started 2day just drunk the water. im going 2 the store 4 the lemons.

  • this is my day 6 and i drink the salt at night wondering y im not to the bathroom and no laxitive at all. shucks ive been doing it all wrong. ill go get some tonight. im was down 6 lbs on day 5. i have hella energy. its crazy how it really works. im gonna post my before and after. im gonig in for 30 days..

  • The ratio is 2 teaspoons of non-iodized sea salt to 32 oz. of water. There are some people that need to adjust that ratio to get the swf to work for their body. Usually, increasing the salt to 2 slightly rounded teaspoons does the trick, but it's possible it may need to be decreased as well. The standard ratio usually does the trick for most people.

  • please answer this if i work in the morning from 7:00am to 4:00 pm..when will be the best time to drink the sea salt..bc i cant keep getting up from my desk?????????????

  • I'd suggest to plan your morning so you have 2 hrs before you leave the house. It takes about that long for the process to complete. That should handle it for you.

  • does this work for very overweight people?

  • It has. But be sure to read the section in "Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days" that explains how to take it easy on the cleanse. Extreme obesity can be a sign of a lot of toxins in the body. You want to eliminate those slowly so you're not uncomfortable.

  • this is my 3rd time w/ the MC but 2 be honest I dont have huge BM's is this natural? I drink the salt water, i use peppermint tea which I found gives me a better BM than the laxative tea. BTW I had my 1st colonic yesterday which was great since it removed the gas bubble in my stomache.

  • so does that mean either / or? any laxative tea right?

  • so you need to do the salt water flush or can you just take the herbal tea

  • you need to do the salt water flush its important. but the herbal tea is recomended if you want to drink it
