He allready has it, you/he/whoever ;) can draw on the whole desktop with ripples or fire, or just click and make ripples, all effects are there installed in compiz-plugins-extras
Yes, I'm talking about that, too. You can "interact" with the background by clicking it, and it will ripple, just as if you touched water surface, also you can pull mouse cursor, and it will leave waves. And same is possible with fire, draw fire on desktop - realtime. Will try to make a short vid...
o and just for ur info i have wine on my ubuntu 8.10 and it work great!! u can run any microsoft program through it with eaz go and check it out i will make a vid showing how to run programs under wine if i get a better recorder thanks...

You know what would be an awesome background is a lake background that is interactive so you could click, and it would sploosh and make ripples.

*Ups* - i see now in the "info-tab", it is ubuntu.
Gotta be another theme. The screenshots i saw of ubuntu had that "ugly" brown.

No, not alot. I have used Wine, but not for any intensive gaming. I hear good things about it though.
