  • Very inspiring, where do you get your candle molds or do u make them yourself?

  • Great video I love it!!!!! Thanks for posting your videos!!!!

  • WHERE CAN I BUY SOME WAX AND MOLDS JOHN?

  • very informative - this is what i was looking for - thank you for sharing! :)

  • Great video.

  • This was so inspiring for me! Thank you!! Defiantly going to be ordering my bee's wax from you web site from now on!!

  • Thanks much. We were thinking of making candles as a little hobby. You know, togetherness. Say, how's your love-life, John? Just kidding.

  • I'm a hoarded from a long line of hoarders and I don't think this work room is THAT bad. I just think the reward of getting all organized is that it cuts down on SPIDERS!!! Spiders love cardboard boxes and clutter. That's why I have a lot of plastic boxes with my clutter inside.

  • Another thing: Do you sell on Etsy? Etsy is a site where you can only sell hand made things or vintage things. Each listing only costs a tiny amount of money and the listings stay up a long time. They charge a small pecentage after you sell an item. I never used to sell anything on Etsy but last year i started selling stuff. I sold a hand full of corsets and a piece of stained glass. It works because people need time to buy things. Etsy gives them the time to get the money.

  • What is the best kind of wick to use with solid beeswax candles like these?

  • Time for a new episode of HOARDERS......I feel the need to disinfect now...

  • You can load a bunch of them in the lasagna pans at once. The great thing about this is that it gets clutter off of the tables so you can use the tables. Another thing: Gussy up vintage shelves and save jars from the fridge for storage. I clean jars with Goo Gone to get the label off and use the dish washer to sterilize them. I have a shelf set jam packed with hardware in jars. Deters spiders-jars are see through-dust repellent-cheap-easy to replace. Or use bins from dollar store.

  • This video is great and very informative. I have a suggestion for cleaning up that room: Garbage pick some particle board entertainment centers, add corner braces and brackets to strengthen the shelves, cut out extra shelves from scrap wood, Add more shelves in the TV space with corner brackets. Buy tin lasagna pans from the dollar store and use the entertainment center for a cooling rack and storage unit for the molds. A normal shelf is not deep enough.

  • Thank you very much.

  • Hey John, have you ever done a video showing how to turn wax into foundation? If not, could you please?

  • What a beautifully honest and interesting business you have. I just stumbled across your video as I have a lot of surplus wax from old candles I am going to melt down and use to turn into new ones. Thanks alot for the upload, I'll be sure to check out your site. All the best, Gary.

  • How do you render the comb wax and scapings to get clean bees wax?

  • Your videos are excellent for me as a beginner. I'm very intersested in making some beeswax candles. They seem like perfect gifts for anyone. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.

  • Which wick would you recommend for beeswax candles? I'm having a hard time finding wicks that last long.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • Hey John, I just went to your website to buy wax from you and my anti-virus software tells me that your website is infected and that I shouldn't go to it. Bummer! I wanted to buy from you. Thanks for the awesome video.

  • I just went to your website---you need to check it out yourself b/c I can't see anything for sale on there except honey, propolis, bees and beehives. Also, it's in pretty bad shape---most of the pictures aren't visible. I'd hire a new website designer if I were you. It would help your business.

THANKS SO MUCH for taking the time for this, just incredible!!! Love your accent! homeschooling mom in Canada

  • @johnpluta Really liked your video. A swarm of bees came into my sister's yard in Louisiana so she set them up in a hive. I didn't realize she can make candles out of the wax and that it can be used in cosmetics etc..

  • @johnpluta Hey you can use a bean bag to set your camera on while you make your videos!

  • Hello from England! Thank you for this 'no frills' realistic video - succinct and to the point information! Have looked at other sites for the same info. and all way too fancy and fussy - this is real and what I wanted to know. Thanks for taking the time to share this from your experience. Excellent!

  • Question: How many hives do you have?

I used to help a guy with his hives up in Syracuse back in the late 50's. He used a lot of A.I. Root supplies.

    Chris

  • I love beeswax candles. I use them all the time at home. Thanks for posting the video!

  • lol 9:03 look at the back, someone got angry and threw way at the wall lol.

  • John - this video is GREAT! I see that you didn't filter out the raw beeswax -what's your take on that? That would be a HUGE time saver if I didn't have to cheese-cloth it, etc. Plus, what do you use to keep the hole closed at bottom of your molds? AND, what type of WICK do you use in this video?

Thanks! p.s. I LOVE your 20-yr old microwave - that made me laugh!
