The 2nd option's the likeliest theory since most of the Thousand Sons weren't on their homeworld of Prospero when the Space wolves burned it to the ground, so they weren't sucked into the warp by Tzeentch along with their primarch and the marines that were on the planet. Also, the Sons had a cult called the corvidae which is latin for Raven, and their old power amour was the same color as the present Blood Ravens one is. :)

@brightsghost It is unknown who is the blood ravens primarch and very little is known about their history(almost nothing) but it is said that davian thule found and read documents about that on kronus but he destroyed them. Since they are f***** up now(a lot of them turned to chaos or died during the aurelian crusades..) they will probably use the time to recover instead of digging trough history.

Now THIS is a fitting end to the game. This is the most appropriate and best ending. Gabriel Angelos makes a fine Chapter Master. Plus, he looks so BAD-ASS with his new cybernetic implants. Thumbs up if you used the 'Hammer of the Nameless' to defeat Kyras. I guess there is no further mention of the Force Commander's fate. It would be cool if the Force Commander came back as a Chaos Lord in the next game.

yes Angeleos declared Cyrene to be tainted by chaos and asked for an exterminatus (which was accpeted) however not all exterminatus's destory the planet, there are , for example, virus bombs which just infect all flora and fauna and reduce it to some biomass sludge. therefore the planet of Cyrene was still around, just un-inhabitable, however i cannot find which method of Exterminatus was carried out on Cyrene. long story short, diomedies is on a dead planet

@EldradUlthan385 to bring canon to a conclusion. Diomedes and Gabriel are "actual" space marines, as opposed to the force commander from dawn of war 2. Avitus and Thaddeus supposedly turned chaos according to canon, and I think the old FC they left out to let the player decide what his fate was, since really he was your character.
