Yes killer whales can be vicious but they are not seen as striking fear in humans because they don't see us as prey. Great White sharks on the other hand make no distinction in hunting.
Also, killer whales have blunt teeth and are incapable of making a quick kill of their prey, so they hunt in packs and kill their prey more slowly, which seems more cruel but that's the only thing they can do.

Killer whales are brutal. At least a shark kills it's prey quickly, a killer whale hunts other whale calves, separates the mother and the whole pod keeps ramming the calf until it's dead. Often taking chunks out of the calf while it is still alive.
I have swam with some of the biggest species of sharks in the world without a cage even, and have never felt any fear. I have been in the water with a pod of killer whales and my heart starts pumping. I get out of the water when surfing to.

Yes killer whales can be vicious but they are not seen as striking fear in humans because they don't see us as prey. Great White sharks on the other hand make no distinction in hunting.
Also, killer whales have blunt teeth and are incapable of making a quick kill of their prey, so they hunt in packs and kill their prey more slowly, which seems more cruel but that's the only thing they can do.

Good thing for killer whales that the great white's old ancestor the Megalodon is extinct. It could swallow that oversized dolphin whole.
No orcas in the wild have ever killed a single human apart from 1 orca that bit a human by accident once and that is it.

if a human and seal were both in a tank with a great white and the human was wearing somethig that identified it as a human the the shark would attack the seal first and if its still hungry go for the human but there first instinct is to go for seals, they are the main food they eat.
