  • i wonder if this pushed Hugh to work as DR HOUSE.

  • It reminds me of a dream I had where I was being taken apart on an operating table in my middle school library xD

But anyway, I love these two, they're brilliant

  • 1:05 Hugh and Stephen give me the impression that it really was unexpected. I wonder...

  • I've never felt sick while laughing my ass off at the same time before! What a new experience!

  • wow they would never show that sketch on tv nowadays

  • Are the bits he's pulling out from a cow?

  • @Spazzbert i think the're from a sheep.

  • Only these two can make something that's normally rather macabre and turn it into something humorous, and, oddly enough, a tad cute (if you cock your head to the side a bit) :D

  • "kidneys are nature`s own dialisis machines"

    just fantastic!!!

  • That bloody spatter on Hugh's lip is driving me crazy.

  • Its driving me crazy too

  • Am I the only one who was wincing throughout the whole sketch? I almost felt knots at the pit of my stomach!!

  • omg, that bit of "blood" on Hugh's lip was driving me crazy!

  • i find it pretty funny how Hugh Laurie did a lot of medical schetches before he became House... it's like he was waiting for this his entire life...

  • no its not, lol, he js did them coz they wer funny

  • true because his dad was a doctor too! that makes sense lol!

  • His dad wasn't a doctor. He was an athlete, wasn't he? An Olympics medalist? Guess perfection ran in the family ;)

  • Well, yes, his dad won a gold medal in rowing, as a matter of fact, but studied medicine and was indeed a doctor.

  • Then I guess over-achievement runs in the family! Admirable...intimidating! =|

  • @unijade I think he was both

  • That's interesting. He called himself Peter Mostyn. Hugh played a character called Mostyn for the Alliance and Leicester ads.

Nerdy of me to remember that.

  • Very nerdy, but kinda cool, if that isn't an oxymoron.

  • "Military intelligence" - THAT is an oxymoron.

  • Thank you to share those 1986 videos. I bought the Bit of Fry & Laurie DVD box set after I saw the sketches here (didn't know about Hugh career before) and it's a pleasure to see sketches they did before.

  • I could see House and Wilson doing this to a group of medical students...but they'll never do it as well as Hugh and Stephen.

  • Holy shite...Hugh must look back on this and laugh.

  • It seems to me that Jeeves is operating on Wooster...especially the way he says, "Sir..." but it is really funny. :P

  • Ha...House goes under the knife...but Hugh will always be Bertie Wooster to me, despite the fact that he always has been a very good actor, and I hope he actually gets more roles than just mad maverick doctors as his career goes on.

  • "It must be important to have a sense of humor in your line of work..." Oh, young Hugh. If only you knew how funny that line would be....
