Logia users  are lulled into their false sense of superiority and simply aim at improving their abilities with df instead of relying on their natural talent. It is for this reason that a one armed shanks in amongst the strongest despite not having a devil fruit. One thing I've learned in this manga is that relying too much on df is not good, thats why blackbeard is gonna get pwned.
