And in other news: Color Guard is harder than Cheer and Cheerleaders know it. Thats why they try recruiting me into cheer cuz they are jealous of guard. Both teams require intense amounts of integrity and dedication but guard is harder, point blank.

lets all be reasonable here, (most) cheerleading groups are great at what they do, and what they do is by no means easy. however, color guard is equally if not slightly harder then cheerleading, and (most) groups are great at what they do. there are things in cheerleading that some guard members can't do, just like there are things in guard that i'm positive cheerleaders cant do. just respect both arts :)

Putting this out there..I have nothing against color guard..I think its awesome..but why compare it to cheerleading. Cheerleading has flips and stunts and hardly any dancing while colorguard is a lot of dancing and throwing flags around and no tumbling or stunting..its like two different things! Both takes a lot of talent and are really cool just very different!

I cheer for my college and I coach a high school guard ... I love both but Im in a passionate relationship with GUARD!! LOL Good SHOW and PS @ crazycatlady stunting and tumbling is hard and dangerous both guard and cheering take diff measurements of diff talents ... but I will never think cheer dancing is real dancing its nothing like what happens in guard or all those ballet lyrical tap jazz classes i took for years
