They should never have been together the way they were, its like the writers were struggling to find excuses to break up and came up with the stupidest ending to separate them. Clark is only with Lois because he can't be with Lana!!
Although I love smallville I also hate it. The way the writers made Clark dismisses Lois when Lana resurfaces at Chloe wedding was terrible!! The writers should have made Lana and Clark break up, and not make her leaves the way she did, because she was infected with kryptonite. It is as if Clark was never over Lana and Lois was second best because Lana left him.
what is that episode called where clark and lana are talking at the porch where clark says "according to the legion i will accomplish things so legendary...."
Totally agree that Clark is only with Lois because he CAN'T be with Lana. They were the reason I fell in love with Smallville, now I find I have to force myself to watch it. I was hoping they'd bring Lana back for at least an episode in season 10, but being there's only 3 episodes left I highly doubt that will happen.
how did lana leave at the end, i read and seen some scene where lana is in an accident and stuff but how does she finally leave the show at last? Does her character die or does it leave an open end so she could come back any time?

Lana always knew, even before she knew Clark's secret, that Clark had a calling bigger than her own. She will always be the love of Clark's life. Lois will always be 2nd choice on Smallville that is.
"Clana" is the reason I fell in love with Smallville ~ although I always knew they would end up together.. they had great chemistry and painful, yet beautiful story lines together.

@jennygal2009 that is SO not true. it's obvious from especially season 10 that clark isn't settling. Lana and Clark were a first love, but they never REALLY worked. lois and clark are partners. no offence to all the clana fans, but lois seems to get clark the way lana never really did.

i used to <3 clana, they were such a sweet couple...
but i have to say, lois is now my fav character and i think she and clark have a close bond too, and thier relationship is much more funny and beaufiful :s x
