U can see the Civic rev drops to 4k plus but the Renault dropped to only 5k plus so it meant when exiting the corner and meting the straight, the Renault could leave the Civic behind it.
@Mindzinsuk Not really, Clio IS the fastest car here. Its faster than any other small hot-hatch, and is considered by all car reviewers that matter as one of the best handling and best sports cars on market today, regardless of price.
@Mindzinsuk I drive the FK. Same chassis just different springs/dampers. So yes and no. Wasn't intended as a hate comment towards Honda. Im a big fan just dissapointing thats its torsion..

Keep in mind the real competitor to the civic is the megane, and then civic would stand no chance at all. The megane has the nurburgring record for FWD cars.
@nighthawkblack1 the civic fn2 weighs...1267kg...the clio weighs 1150kg...that doesn't sound like 200kg difference to me. and besides, the FN2 is just not as fast...the EP3 is even better than it.
@nikke1024 Mate the clio 200 weighs 1204kg, so its more or less identical, its simply that the clio has the better chassis, trust me renualt know how to make a car handle

@Duron13 Keep in mind the Clioøs curb weight is 1204 KG! Thats 200 Kg less than what the Civic Type R.
If the civic had that weight it would ran around corners with the clio any given day :)

It's useless to see the things like that. The Civic is heavier because she is bigger than the Clio and normally compete with Golf, Astra and Megane.
