  • woops! sorry manjodissa! I read your comment wrong! I take back my words! I was about to comment on another video, instead I posted on this one, and got mixed up with the pnchamda thing. lol srry

  • yar if anything is pleasant to ear then why not listen it if it is in other language then for indians that dont that language for them song is in hindi version its so much good yar see that one person who gives more than 200 hits and out of that 2 or 3 copied wats matter ? itna to break banta hai yaar

  • You can file a counter DMCA notice and google will put the songs back. It is indeed, in all sense, fair use.

If that sounds like too much work, please please please please upload it to some place else and give us a link? I promise to make a torrent of it!

  • He just make those songs sounds like pure indian by injecting emotions, melody into it! So for all those fake rdb fans... rot in hell!!! rdb ruulzzzz!

  • i'm from sri lanka and being an panchamfanatic i donot give a damn thing whether panchamda copied from other tunes or not.And if you analyse it deeply ( i really doubt about you indian's intelligence after seeing these hideous comments about one of the true phenomenal indian personalities of the millenia) rdb has just render the tune of the 1st or 2nd or in any case, mx 5 lines of the original version but think about the rest of the song and the creativity which ooozes from it.

  • even JAane tu???????????[:)]

its ok yaar after givin many hits some copyin is ok yaar

  • absolutely a bad thing for bollywood

  • a sad thing. i didnt expect this from the greatest bollywood music director ever. shame. isn't it. specially kishorda has sung in one of the copied songs so it hurts even more. i am the biggest kishorda fan that ever could be. shame. isnt it? dammm bollywood

  • ah naaahhh,,, shiit i am totally out of control here. i don't fucking know what to say. even PANCHAM DA copied. so what even if he copied 2 lines he still copied from some others' hard work. oh no. it's a shame. i can't believe what our bollywood is peice of shiit. dud, i am speechless after listening to panchamda's copied songs and what hurts me more is kishoreda has sung a few copied songs in there. i am the biggest kishorda fan and this hurts the most. fuck this. shiiiiit

  • so basically all indian producers/directors/ and composerz..copy otherz? what a shame i dont see why u guys talkin smack about pritam and anu malik...if da old folkz used to copy thangz from otherz i guess its just a culture thing to copy other ppl's work...i like each and every song pritam made..but sadly it aint his work but still luv em tho...these ppl need to stop what they doing their given the whole country a bad name...idiots

  • Amazing even after watching this people root for schmucks like RD...

a spade is a spade people!

  • @ All of u who think R.D.Burman was Gr8,Yes no doubt bt he was not the last good music dir,i guess u guys r forgetting A.R.Rahman who has redefined comntemprory indian music,Rahman so far has not evn copied a single track from anywhere.!!

  • EVN RD Burman!!

  • Bollywood music to shooting a space rocket to launching a new medicine to even winning a game, its always been a stolen, plagiarism that Indians have been doing ever since long and making money... so if Pritam has done something now, why the so cry about? He is just doing what all his peers have done before... following their copy-car foot steps, please don't blame him alone.

  • well,,,the first and last songs have things in common but the 2nd and 3rd songs could have easily been con-instances as they are more variable than similar,,,,saying he 'up the tempo' is just your assumption,,,but thanks for the other two versions.....keep it up

  • where is the next time...another set of songs of RD Burman's inspiration :) You are doing great job. You are awaring people. Let people know what is black and what is white. keep it up.

  • I dont have any respect on rd anymore,,,,no originality...all r copied. ridiculus.

  • oh my god ! mehbooba mehbooba too !

  • I cant beleive. No faith on Indian's music director's great thief.

  • Grow up People!!! Look at the unforgettable classical/ semi-classical compositions of him. These are just deep likings for good music.I am telling people whoever got frustrated by seeing this- do'nt be !!! See all of RD-s works. Then decide and let us know how you feel.

RD WAS, IS and WILL the Sultan of Indian film music.Period.

  • 'RD Burman was the last true phenomenon indian music had seen'- Salil Chowdhury.

'..he(R.D.B) was no less than what Beethoven or Bach were to the western world'- Jatin Pandit.

Whoever is passionate about music and melody is directly or indirectly influenced by it's gems, RD was no exception. But if you see these and hear to his versions, he has taken his likings but worked on it to give a fresh new look, a newer meaning.

  • did ne1 realys da song playin at abt 4.40 is also used in jaane tu ya jaane na

  • while I have no comment on the music copying, I'd have to say that listening to the english version of mehbooba really made my day. lol.

  • I must say I much prefer RDB's own original songs (eg o majhi re, ab jo mile ho, tere bina zidagi se, tujse naraz nahe, jaane ja dhoond ta' to name a few) rather than the ones inspired by copies.

  • All these are well known songs that hve been shamelessly copied from originals. Part of the problem is the lack of the enforcement of copyright rights laws in India.

  • Mmmmmmmm, so thats what arab music sounds like in english, mmmm, meh

  • cinoshmathew,

I think you are wrong in defending Pancham. I know a list (its on the net) of 49 pancham songs that were mere copies of foreign tunes. I think if you go over all the Pancham songs (332 films), you will find many more. And you have to listen a lot more foriegn songs which is not possible. If somebody did not acknowledge, than its not inspiration, its tune-lifting and that person is a thief, not a genius!

  • It doesn't matter whether you copy (get inspired from)one song or from forty. What matters is whether you acknowledge the original source or not. Clearly R.D the "genius" got away with it in his time, because people didn't have access to a resource like the internet.

  • It's very simple. Copy all you want, but ONLY with due permission and consent! Don't literally lift material! Give due credit and no one will hate the 'copier'.

  • Who knows maybe these so called original songs may have been also copied from someplace else. Is that not possible too ?

  • is that relevant.

fact is R.D Burman copied these songs.

  • The Title of this post should read How the Musical Prodigy modified other music into better version for the Hindi Cinema

This man R.D.Burman is truly Musical genius.

Compared R.D.Burman with other music directors like Bappi,Nadeem Sharavan, Anu and you will know how unique R.D.Burman could be.

  • when rd did all these things, the world was not globalised. esspecially indian audience was greatly unaware of other music styles. he just bought a new touch to bollywood's music. all his songs, which are inspired, sound much better than original. and on the other hand, he also has countless original songs to his credit!!!!

  • Mood kharaab kar diya....kisi ka bharosa nahin raha ab

  • this is utterly depressing

  • copying is ok by me if due credit is given to the original & guys who created it. i mean hr giger successfully sued 20th century fox when he was not credited for his designs used in alien ressurection.

  • coping is bad. but those base songs, or melodies will not reach you else it s copied. for instance chinese melodies, who is checking all those songs or molodies, it s quite a lot. better listen those before die.....

  • I'm 19 and was still depressed by this. We've copying since the beginning of time! I think we should stick to gazals and classical music, that's us and us alone.

  • you know what , I too got a chance to become a Music Director in bollywood , man !!!!!!!I too can take tunes from here and there and make Hindi songs, saale samajh kya rakha hain !!

  • it is fun to know these facts! Thanks for posting

  • copycats

  • hey Cino.. i check all ur inspiration series.. they r good.. but i was a question. did these directors bought the copyrights from the inspirig ones or they just took it??? plz can u clear this....

  • just took it man, nobody cares if bollywood copies, but now that bollywood is going international by the day, they gotta be careful.

  • I don't understand why one has to so apologetic about RD. He copied. As simple as that. And he could get away with it in his time. Pritam was born in the wrong era.

  • RD copies is very wrong comment from you..listen all the songs from RD ánd if you still think like that then...may be your wrong...

  • A distinction may be made between someone who has composed over a million of the most melodious songs only a few of which have a passing inspiratinal resemblance to the originals, to say someone in whose work one struggles to find a SINGLE original song, not to mention that ALL THE SONGS ARE NOTE BY NOTE COPIES.This is sacrilege against RD.Wish you had not done that.

  • sorry, but as i specified Panchamda is the best.. even in the songs which have a resemblance to western works, pancham da has worked on the tune and the resembalance is just minimal..

  • well he hasn't done anything bad...this is true....no body can't deny it

  • RD burman has always fooled people in old days,,.Thogh some of ARR bits match to western bits, his tunes are always original..so no question arises who is DADA on indian musical stage!!!

  • how come u say that its not original..i believe its somebody else work..this is the fact and no one can deny it

  • great job....

  • no credit to me.. this is just done for information and entertainment.. all copyrights rest with the respective owners of their works.. this is just based on the information available from varoius sites on web, no copyright violation or infringement or personal defamation intended..

also watch the rajesh roshan songs i uploaded..

  • Even RD Burman??? z fuck!!!

  • RD lifted these songs without acknowledgement, so it is more than just inspiration. You can call him a copycat. But give me his original songs any day. Cino is spot on is ending this video clip saying as much.

Even for Tumse milke in Parinda - I think the highpoint are the antaras and 2nd interlude music of the song, not the lifted part.

  • you gotta do one on all the movies the bhatts and abaas mastan and sanjay gupta copy(he had to get the rights to reservoir dogs though) everything else he copies, also Bappi lahiri the fat ass and anu malik the biggest copy cats who make millions off of other peoples work.

  • Cino you are doing a great job, btw how do it yar?

  • pancham da will remain pancham da, notice all songs that are inspired are on the commercial side not to forget that rd has given us mazing songs like ijazat, dil padaosi hay, and the list is endless no body can deny that pancham was one hell of an artist. LOVE YOU PANCHAM DA

  • i toatally agree with you ...listan to the song like Mera kuchha Saaman from Izazat..its totally great...

  • IT DOESNT MATTER IF YOU THINK THE ORIGINAL IS BETTER OR THE COPIED VERSION.

    the crime is still evident

  • ONLY ARR..........

  • to some extent,, even ARR has lifted stuff from --say ACE Of BASE etc..

  • Cheating is Cheating there's no doubt bout that...talent and creativity r 2 different things.....human mind is full of creative things ..deres a chance dat 2 people can think d same thing once,twice,thrice...STOP!!...but after dat it becomes copycating....

and u know why dis is...it is to SURVIVE in d industry and to live up to ur reputation...its sad but it is true!

  • RD is RD....!! He has given us the golden days of Hindi music, which is unfortunately in the hands of some non sense buggers...!! Pancham da...!! We Salut you..!!

  • He hasn't given it...somebody has given it he has just put his name there...like made by me.

  • yup dude u r ryt ....da is best yaar..it better than the original 1's

  • yup dude u r ryt ....da is best yaar..it better than the original 1's

  • the 'inspiration' series is too good man!
