It's like the better No Wave (Contortions) meets Pere Ubu. Never heard this band. Always heard the name. Swell Maps kind of were doing a little bit of this I guess.
Don't know much about this band, but I've just seen the cover for the album "For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder?"...it knocked me for six.
First time I've heard these, and I can hear parallels to A Certain Ratio.

Wow, just heard this for the first time. Great stuff, definitely going to check out more of this band. Loving the very gothic atmosphere at the end with the saxophone, brilliant.
awesome, i agree y is fucking awesome, i really dig the second album too 7 mark stewart's solo stuff. anyone got a spare copy of the "we are time" lp, mine went missing?
I completely agree w/ you kensatan. Used to play it on the air when it came out, it got lot's of comment, and mostly positive, but nobody seemed to go out and actually buy it. I remember when Patti Smith hand-picked them to open for her in England, chosen from over one hundred submissions according to Melody Maker at the time. A truly great, but seemingly forgotten band.

This sounds so good, I can hear Gang of Four in this for sure...post-punk of late 70s was exceptional

@oogie11
As far as I'm concerned the late 70's was the zenith of rock.

It's like The Birthday Party,Gang of Four, and This Heat got together and out popped this band of freaks..or is it the other way around?
Gonzo trippy post punk.

He said he came to London expecting all the music to be like the Pop Group.. not quite what he found...

Exactly. I always thought "She Is Beyond Good and Evil" sounded like Birthday Party, had the latter been dub reggae enthusiasts.
