@LycoValleyRRFan HELL YES, Welcome to the cause, brother! Much respect from Texas Sons of Confederate Veterans. P.S. Dan Tyminski is an amazing artist!
Hard to imagine fighting your fellow countrymen. Being born in North and raised in South. There were family members who fought each other on the field of battle. I can not even think of such thing. A dark time in our country. There were no traitors. Just men who were doing what they believe to be true in on both sides.
@ultraman1red Not that hard: there R people especially in the south who fantasize about it all the time and would like to bring those times back and I know families TODAY who don't speak to each other because of politics. If u listen to some "news" outlets, they make a living by selling the idea that half of the country are not "real" Americans and as a consequence you have unstable individuals who go around shooting people who have a different set of beliefs. Traitors who pretend 2 b patriots!
I heard "The boy who wouldn't hoe corn" on CBC radio one afternoon when severley hung over and it brought peace to my day....this is why I love this song!!
I agree rm that Ron's banjo playing makes it!!! every musician in this band is so very telented!! I live BOUT 40 min. form Gettysburg and now I have to play it there also LOL
mjpd345: I would love to do the same.. Like I have told my friends when I hear this song I picture the soldiers polishing their swords and polishing their brass. Packing their powder and their lead. You can picture those men saying goodbye to their loved ones. I tell you Ron Blocks banjo sure makes this song.
Fantastic ! I used to ride around Getttysburg listening to this. Trying to understand...All that went down there on that sacred ground...150 years ago.Deep stuff..
@mjpd345 Yeah because you know no fight happend there for about 2 years so it was pretty amazing though how the army of northern virginia hid itself behind the mountain range near gettysburg. But even if the south would have won gettysburg they would have still lost.
4 people are from the north

Let us all remember where we came from. Stand for what you know is right, and never blindly follow the crowd.
